what is the most versatile summer pattern hanging in my closet? well, to be truthful it’s my number one thing year round, and that is the ever so versatile stripe. horizontal or vertical, sweater or tee, skirt or dress, the essential stripe takes me to the office, to the beach, or to an antique show in style. this is the reason why i have more than one stripe at my beck and call. and guess what? it never goes out of style. never. if you are looking to add classic chic versatility to your wardrobe, consider adding a stripe. take it from me; it won’t let you down. why? after all these years, i’ve yet to meet a stripe i didn’t like. it has the styleatacertainage stamp of approval.

happy hump day!

  3. What a fun post and a nice trip through your stripes (and hairstyles!) How long have you been blogging?

    1. the first few photos are from early blog posts. that was when i was on the hunt for a hairstylist after mine had moved to NYC. i’ve been blogging for two years. the first year was exclusively on tumblr. then i transitioned over to the main blogsphere about a year ago.
      xoxo beth

Yup–I have so many striped things in my closet–you can’t go wrong with stripes.

You’ve been so creative, Beth, with your examples of using not only clothing like coats, sweaters and skirts, but also accessories like shoes, bags, scarves, etc to demonstrate your points.

When you find something that works, stick with it. Love the trip back in time and you looked fab in every shot. xoxo
