We are continuing our 2023 Best-of retrospective with your favorites from May through August. The summer was a busy time for SaaCA with the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, Tybee Island trips and so many other summertime festivities. Be sure to check back in through the rest of the week, as Kelly will share her best-of post on Thursday and we will have your favorite Fridays with Oscar posts of 2023.

One of your favorite posts of 2023 was Fashion Mistakes that Make You Look Older. This post was all about how to avoid frumpy dressing and how to elevate your look; it’s full of easy tips to stay modern, fresh, and relevant. A wonderful benefit of this is the confidence boost that feeling comfortable and looking good gives us! Read the original post here.

Pink is everywhere, all year long in 2023, and shows no signs of slowing down. This outfit is a version of my style uniform - the 4Bs - blazer, button-down, blue jeans, and ballet flats. It’s an outfit I can put together in minutes, knowing I can confidently step out the door. If you’re new to the blog, you might be scratching your head, wondering what a style uniform is. Simply put, a style uniform consists of wardrobe staples that you can pull together at a moment’s notice. Everyone needs a great pair of jeans; my favorite brands are J.Crew, Ralph Lauren, Paige, Frame, Wit & Wisdom, Scoop, and Free Assembly. If you haven’t found your perfect pair of denim, devote an afternoon to trying on every brand known to mankind. You’ll find one, I promise.
5 Flattering Silhouettes for Women Over 50
This was a much-loved post that will never go out of style! I have selected a look from this post that is perfect to recreate in colder temperatures.
High-waisted trousers elongate the legs, creating a flattering silhouette for women over 50. They also provide coverage for the midsection, making them a great choice for those who prefer a bit more coverage. Opt for a wide-leg pair in a neutral color, such as black or navy, for a timeless and sophisticated look.

If there’s one thing we have to do every day is put on some clothes. So I thought it would be fun to have a chat about the benefits of dressing well and how it can impact our lives. Remember 2020 when the world shut down after Covid rolled into town? I still produced regular content on the blog, Instagram and YouTube. One comment I heard over and over again was, “What’s the point?” or “I have nowhere to go, so why bother getting dressed up?” To which my answer was and always will be, “The point is YOU!”
This post was timely, and I think it’s a great thing to have top of mind as we go into the new year with our resolutions. Check out the original post, in case you missed it.
