Happy Thursday, Ladies! Much like leopard prints, I consider snake prints neutral. It’s taken me years to collect only a few pieces because they are not as widely available as other animal prints. However last summer and into this fall, snake print is trending and much more available in a wide variety of accessories, and tints. The easiest way to incorporate snake print into an outfit is to wear snake print accessories. Whether you wear a few pieces together, or just a one-off (like your shoes) it’s a fun way to add a print to your outfit.
Today, Kelly shares The Easiest Way to Wear Snake Print

If you’ve been checking in with me over the last couple of years on the blog, you will know that I do love patterns – I also love to pattern-mix! Since snake print accessories are most commonly found in black, white, and grey, it’s easy to pair with a pattern like a classic Glen plaid because they share the same colors. Even if your black and grey Glen plaid has another color running through it, like the Lake Glen Plaid Blazer from Talbots, it will still pair well with snake print.
You can find snake print in warmer tones too, like the Piper Low Ankle Boots at J.Crew. I love the warmer-toned snake prints too because they look beautiful with fall colors like camel and the rich browns trending right now.
Beth and I have shared how to wear vests, both as tops and over tees here on the blog, Beth shared a very chic Double Denim Outfit from Talbots. And, this summer I featured how I styled a vest over a tank top for summer.
The vest-as-a-top trend is still going strong for fall and winter, and Madewell has introduced two vest styles that are designed to be worn as tops, with more fitted armholes and higher necklines. I am wearing the Squareneck Vest in Drapey Twill, and there is also the Single-Breasted Scoopneck Vest. Both are very feminine styles that add a sophisticated look to any outfit.
The great thing about mixing your snake print into your outfit with accessories is that the prints don’t need to match each other exactly. My snake print mules are from several years ago, but these Snake Print Mule Heels are very similar.
And then my snake print clutch is a knit wristlet clutch from Rothy’s. This snake print is no longer available, but a similar take is the leather Snake Print Envelope Clutch from Rebecca Minkoff.
If you look closely, it’s obvious that these two accessories do not match each other, they’re not even made from the same material! But – animal prints are so forgiving that it works.

I am liking these color combinations and you look relaxed in your own “snake skin” accessories… pun intended / wink, wink
Ha! Thanks so much, Denise. Happy Halloween! xo Kelly
I really like the burgundy top with the snake print. Great look and colors. I have also come to like zebra. I just bought a zebra belt which looks great with all black. I agree black and white as an animal print can be very fetching.
Zebra is a great black and white print, Kathleen! Thank you for stopping by today, xo Kelly
Snake print is so pretty! Love the booties/shooties in the gray print, but what I can’t get over is how darn cute your hair is Kelly! Adorable, and suits you.
Thanks so much, Nancy! xo Kelly
