If it’s Monday, then it’s time for another OOTD! Today I am featuring the perfect summer outfit from Ann Taylor. This past weekend I zipped down to Natchez, MS, to attend a cooking class led by Regina Charboneau. What fun! My oldest Alex and Kelly joined me as we flew into Baton Rouge, rented a car then zipped up to Natchez on the mighty Mississippi. It’s a walkable, historic city backdrop to Hallmark movies, the mini-series North and South, and the television series True Blood. I have it on good authority actress Octavia Spencer has moved into the neighborhood.
Regina and I met last February on the American Queen River Cruise and hit it off. Learn more about my experience with American Queen Voyages. When I learned she had a cooking school – Regina’s Kitchen – I knew I had to sign up for her Biscuits and Brunch class. She’s known as the biscuit queen, and I must admit she makes some of the best biscuits I’ve ever had the pleasure of eating! They are so moist and flaky that you don’t need to add butter. Just the jam! The class is two hours long, and libations are served while the cooking class is in session. Cocktails before noon are called libations in Natchez; anything after 12 PM is named cocktails. Don’t you love it!

Initially, I ordered a white halter top to go with the pants, but for whatever reason they’ve gone missing through the postal service, and I’m debating whether to re-order or not. Not to fear, as yours truly owns more than one white tee and/or cotton blouse. This year, I’m loving this sleeveless rendition from Ann Taylor that goes with everything from skirts to shorts to pants.

I have an Ann Taylor’s red and white palm print pants from last year. This inspires me to get this out And wear it either today or tomorrow. It is been raining here in Minnesota for the past 2 days which we really need So if the sun comes out Soon I will put it on. Love it in the green print also.

I also had something from Ann Taylor go missing in the postal service. When I finally received it, I found it badly damaged. Ann Taylor was good about replacing it. I wonder if that happens more frequently with Ann Taylor
I’ve ordered many things from both Ann Taylor and Talbots through the years and have never had anything arrive damaged. Returns and exchanges have been easy with both shops.

We love to attend Spring Pilgrimage and the balloon festival in the Fall. To watch those colorful balloons over the Mississippi is breathtaking .
