as you can see from the photos the weather here in georgia is dark and dreary. it just might be a blue christmas if not for this pop of cobalt that brightens the day. i’ve long been a fan of this particular shade of blue. and if you’re looking for a classic color scheme, then black and blue is the winning ticket.
there’s also a chill in the air today, so i couldn’t resist adding this wool houndstooth jacket. technically, it’s a blazer, but it easily doubles as a coat due to its warmth. there’s a subtle pattern mix with polka dots and check. but this is exactly what keeps this ootd looking current. that, plus the suede booties. it’s fun to mix it up now and again. one of my style tricks is balancing the classics with a trend.
add a patent leather tote for some texture, and this ootd is one for the books.
happy hump day!

While you always look fab, this look is one of my favs on you. Pinning it to my Pinterest board cuz this ROCKS!!
Cute! And I gotta’ say–that blue is totally Duke blue! 😉 You’d fit right in here!
Love the polka dots mixed with the houndstooth pattern, too. Now that I’m 62, I tend not to wear skirts that are shorter these days, BUT with tights, I do! That skirt is great–I admired it in its first iteration, too.
Love this! From the pattern mix to the sassy little skirt pin, all of it is fabulous! xoxo
You look so sharp in this outfit! Love it! I am a blue lover also.
