Happy Sunday, ladies! As Kelly and I prepare for our trip to Paris, I've started digging into French street style. It's been fun digging into the various socials, blogs, and sites to see what's trending across the Atlantic. So, I've got a fun one for you today: 5 French-inspired trends for Fall 2022.
I should say up front that these 5 trends aren't necessarily what we think of iconic or classic French styles. (I'm thinking a classic Brenton striped shirt or a pair of ballet flats.) Instead, these are current trends---some of which you're going to find here.
Today, I'm featuring :
Honestly, each of these are all classics in my book. When is faux brown leather not in style? You really can't go wrong with any of these trends. So, let's see what I came up with.
Today, I'm featuring 5 French-inspired trends for Fall 2022
For each of the 5 trends, I've put together similar outfits all shoppable via text- or image-widgets
For each trend, I've also pulled together 4 of my favorites from retailers we all know and love
A traditional trench is long, double-breasted, has ten buttons, and comes in black, tan, khaki, or beige.
Trench coats often incorporate cuff straps, raglan sleeves, shoulder straps, and belts. Modern stylings include a variety of colors from muted to bold and bright.
Nothing beats a sweater vest for a chic alternative to a jacket. The oversized sweater vest is on trend and works perfectly with a pair of denim or trousers.
Hard to beat classic red plaid. Of course, a button-down or blouse comes to mind, but don't forget to think outside of the box. Red plaid blazers and coats are perfect for both Fall & Winter.
Is there anything more comfy & cozy than a sherpa jacket? It's easy to associate these jackets with classic American Western style. But they're popular in Paris this Fall too.
Wear them with a pair of your favorite blue jeans, but don't be afraid to go outside the box. A midi/maxi skirt works great too!
Who doesn't love classic brown leather? Today, I'm focusing on faux leather jackets: moto and bombers in particular. But brown leather pants are always chic for an evening out.

Loved this post, Beth! I’ve always been a fan of French style. So classic and chic. I haven’t visited Paris since the 70’s and not sure if I’ll ever get back there again but I fell in love with the city! I am so looking forward to seeing your posts of the trip you and Kelly will be taking.
I like the new, longer hair style!
thanks so much!
