1. Black Denim
Fall means denim. There's no doubt about that. But today I wanted to focus specifically on black denim. Just like a dark wash, black denim can be dressed up or down. Wear it out and about or to dinner---the choice is yours.
I'm big on ruanas and ponchos. (When am I not?) So both of my inspiration outfits feature them. But swap the ruana for two of the other items topping our list---a denim or moto jacket---and you're set to go.

2. Oversized Turtleneck
There’s no denying that a simple OOTD is sometimes the best OOTD. What’s better than a chunky turtleneck and blue jeans, especially this time of year.
Mix things up a bit by layering the turtleneck on top of a plaid or chambray shirt. Variety is the spice of life.

3. Denim Jacket
If there’s one thing we know about this season it’s that the weather can change in a heartbeat. That means I'm usually grabbing a jacket before I head out the door.
Denim jackets always make my classic wardrobe staple lists. Why? Because this hardworking gem goes with just about everything in my closet.
From dresses to skirts to pants to jeans, a jean jacket is the perfect transition piece come Spring or Fall. It helps ward off those chilly temps that always make an appearance. Plus, they’re just darn cool!

4. Riding Boots
I have to admit that I have a soft spot for timeless, classic riding boots. This boot has been in existence since the 10th century. r
Riding boots were developed to make horseback riding more comfortable with several key design features in mind.
The knee shaft protected the rider’s leg, a rigid toe was intended to protect their foot in case it was stepped on by a horse, and the sturdy heel helped keep the foot secure in the stirrup.
Riding boots look fantastic with a variety of outfits. Love pairing them with a suede jacket.
