Hello, great to see you! Today I am sharing an outfit I wore the other day in Savannah. The weather was balmy and warm, so not super fall-ish. But boy, was I surprised when I got back to Athens. It turned very cold overnight. With temps not making it very far in the 50s, this will likely be the last time I wear my short sleeve sweaters this year!
But today’s post is more about my favorite trend I am wearing for Fall: wide leg denim for petites. I have already gotten a bit of wear out of the super cute Pilcro Petite Skipper Cropped Wide-Leg Jeans from Anthropologie.

1. Cropped Wide-Leg Jeans

If you recall my recent wide leg denim for petites post: My Wide Leg Denim Picks for Fall, I featured these jeans as one of my picks. I love these jeans! Let me tell you why, first they are high-waisted but not too high, and they are cropped just right. So the fit is spot on.

The little details are what I really love: the little square front pockets and the wide hem on the legs are just perfect.
This sunshiny yellow cashmere polo was a gift from Beth and unfortunately, it is no longer available from J.Crew, but I have rounded up a few other options. If you’re loving this bright yellow as much as I am, I have a couple options in different styles. And if what you’re loving is the short sleeve style, I have a couple of those as well.

2. Fisherman Lugsole Sandals

I am sporting my favorite shoes lately, the Fisherman Lugsole Sandals from J.Crew in the super metallic silver. While my time is running out on wearing these sandals much more this year, I do plan to stretch their wear a little farther by pairing them with cute ankle socks.

3. Savannah
Last weekend, Alex and I met with some old friends for a weekend on Tybee Island and Savannah. Today’s photos are all taken at The Peregrin, atop the wonderful hotel, Perry Lane, A Luxury Collection Hotel in the historical district of downtown Savannah. A wonderful hotel, with gorgeous views from the rooftop bar and pool.
If you’re planning a trip to Savannah, I recommend checking out this hotel. The staff is absolutely fantastic. With great amenities, restaurants and bars, this hotel is a contemporary luxury hotel in the middle of one of the oldest cities in America.
If you go, definitely plan to watch the sunset from The Peregrin. Grab a cocktail (Frosé, anyone?), an appetizer or two and enjoy the view!

I have a similar pair of jeans from Talbots They aren’t cropped so I have to shorten them even though they are petites. I will lose the cute wide hem unless I can figure out a way to replicate it. It’s hard being short and I keep shrinking
