My Amazon Prime Day Picks
It’s official! Amazon Prime Day has arrived, and with it, all sorts of goodies are on sale. It’s the biggest sale of the year. If you can believe it, Amazon Prime Day has eclipsed Black Friday and Cyber Monday, which is why I’m bringing this epic sale to your attention (I know y’all love a good sale). For the past ten years (or thereabouts), there hasn’t been a week without at least one item arriving on my doorstep with Amazon Prime. Sometimes it’s daily… When Mr. style and I lived in San Francisco; even our groceries were delivered to our front stoop in the wee hours of the morning. Dog food for Oscar? No problem. How about a new-fangled treat tossing gadget? It’s on my must-have list, thanks to Amazon Prime Day Deals.
And books? While I love to walk into Barnes and Noble or a neighborhood bookstore and smell the ink, nothing beats Amazon’s vast selection of books and free shipping. This month my local book club is reading Groundskeeping by Lee Cole. We’ve also read Confessions on the 7:45 by Lisa Unger and Careful What You Wish For by Hallie Ephron. We all loved The Midnight Library. But the book club was divided on The Missing Letter of Mrs. Bright.
Today, instead of featuring the typical outfit of the day, I rounded up a few things that I shop for at Amazon. It would be impossible to list everything on sale during the two-day Amazon Prime Day shopping extravaganza, so I’m sharing my favorites. 1. Beauty
When I’m in a pinch, my beauty and haircare products arrive from Amazon. Sunscreen is an absolute must and my dermatologist recommends Elta MD I use the tinted moisturizer spray for my face. NYX is an affordable line of makeup products. Recently beauty editor Jennifer recommend I stock up on their lip gloss: Bit of Honey, Angel Food Cake, and Tiramisu. And I did! Love all three shades.
Y’all know I’ve worked with L’Oreal a number of times, introducing their Age Perfect line when it launched two years ago, Midnight Serum, and recently they sent a new product Le Color Gloss that’s a one-step toning hair gloss. It enhances my silvers, grays, and what’s left of my natural color. They offer thirteen shades in all. I’ll probably use it once or twice a month.
Several times a week, I use the NuFace microcurrent device. The starter kit is on special today that’s great for travel. I use the NuFACE hydrating aqua gel that delivers the microcurrent from the device. In the last month, I’ve purchased Foreo-activated masks that go with my Foreo UFO LED skincare device (it’s a mini facial), a self-tanning mitt, eyelash serum, and a cleansing balm from Elemis that always makes my favorites list.
I'm also picking up Crepe erase advanced body repair treatment, lip and cheek stain, and rosewater facial spray.
Collagen is a must-have supplement for me. It keeps my skin, hair, and nails in tip-top condition. Collagen for Her has a Prime Day Special with 20% off. Every like morning like clockwork I add a scoop of Collagen for Her peptide powder to my coffee. It works!
2. Hair Care
Recently, my hair stylist introduced me to the Olaplex line that nourishes, repairs and protects your hair. I’m quite pleased. I use Olaplex 3 once a week, Olaplex Shampoo every 2-3 days, Olaplex Conditioner and Olaplex 6. Good stuff!

I have to admit I am just getting started when it comes to sourcing Amazon fashion finds. But I promise in the months ahead this is a priority of mine because Amazon has upped their presence in the fashion world. But here are a few of my picks.

You mentioned fashion on Amazon which I wasn’t really aware of, so I jumped on and ended up with five new tops on order. I live in inland So Cal and we have three more months of summer. It works out well for getting really good action on the summer sales. I think I’m going back in for a purse on Amazon. 😀
