It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas at my house. How about yours? Love this time of year when the house looks festive. But it does take some time to transform the rooms, including the kitchen. Today I am sharing a few snippets of how I’m decorating for the holidays, along with a recipe for a festive Mistletoe Martini. Be sure to find shopping links to my tablescape and my Holiday Decoration Shopping Guide at the end of the post.
How I’m Decorating for the Holidays
Short Sleeve Puffer Jacket
Today’s outfit is casual through and through. A comfortable turtleneck, puffer vest, straight-leg denim, and black lug sole boots. It couldn’t be an easier winter outfit to pull together that keeps me warm, stylish, and oh-so-comfortable.

Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard. One of my favorite movies!
Norma Desmond, Sunset Boulevard, “ I didn’t get small, the pictures got small..they opened their mouth and out came talk, talk, talk. Remember that too?
I know, I’m old, Beth lol
Classic movie with classic lines!
Thanks for stopping by today.
Ding, ding, ding, go to the head of the class!
Love seeing Oscar! I assume the photos are recent. You both look great,
Yes, Fridays with Oscar are always recent photos. When we do a roundup, that’s when we pull photos from the archives.
Your tablescape is pretty. What are the chocolates you have on the tray? Looks delicious.
It is mentioned in the reading: 😋(chocolate-covered Medjool Dates you can snag at the grocery store)
Belinda was kind enough to answer, but they’re chocolate-covered Medjool dates you can find in your grocery store. It’s an easy dessert to serve.
love a everything Beth
specially the ribbon tree that you have every year,
Very unique!!
Can wait for the Paris photos.
Have a nice one.
Thanks for stopping by, Gloria!
Happy Holidays!
I admit that I had to look up this quote. I’ve heard it before but wasn’t certain of its origin. I’m certain I haven’t seen Sunst Boulevard so I’ll be trying to find it on Netflix or other service.
I think you’ll like the movie. It’s an oldie but goodie!
Thanks for the inspiration, Beth. I’m finishing up the holiday decor at the office on Monday and spent a little time today (working from home) doing research for something unique. That is one of my favorite work tasks. Everything is usually done the day after Thanksgiving, but “real work “ got in the way this year, LOL. Snout kisses to Oscar, what a beautiful boy!
I hear you! But I’m glad it was an interesting project that kept you busy. The decorations always seem to get put up whether fast or slow.
Happy Holidays!
Oscar is looking good!! I do enjoy your posts with him.
Also that Martini sounds really good. I’m going to give it a try.
Isn’t he a handsome boy?! The best dog ever!
