‘Tis the season to be jolly. Fa la la la la la la la la! It has begun. The house is being transformed one decoration at a time. I still stick to the day after Thanksgiving decorating rite and I love to pull out my Christmas decorations that seem like old friends waiting to be reunited. The porch always gets the first makeover and Oscar is by my side to get the decorating party started. So, today I thought I’d give you a look at my winter porch refresh.
I have a refreshing Cranberry Moscow Mule on deck this week. It’s the perfect winter cocktail. And I’m saving time by popping a Trader Joe’s appetizer in the oven- Pastry Bites with Feta Cheese and Carmelized Onions.

A Look at My Winter Porch Refresh
1. Holiday Vests
Time to pull my puffer vests from storage but if you’re looking for a new one Lands’ End is having a terrific sale. I like this glen plaid vest or holiday plaid vest. Talbots and J.Crew are also my go-to brands for puffer vests. I’m always a sucker for a black watch plaid puffer vest but you can’t beat a faux fur metallic vest that will go with everything.
This navy cashmere sweater has been on style repeat this fall. This week I’m wearing it with high-rise straight denim from Free Assembly a brand available at Walmart. And how cute are these Western Boots from the Scoop line also from Walmart! I always say style doesn’t have to be expensive. It’s all about putting together an outfit whether that’s from a high-end brand or an affordable one.

Love your porch decor. It always helps to have an excellent supervisor there to make sure everything is just right. Looks like Oscar approves also. Give him a Pat and a treat from my kids, Sarge, Jojo and Macie. Have a great weekend.
Merry Christmas Beth, Oscar, and family,
Always excited to read your blog. I love your front porch and handsome Oscar standing by excited for the festivities to start.
Going to try your cranberry mojitos for sure.
Your Daughter in law has some great recipes too.

Your porch refresh is beautiful! I love your wreath and the mix of colors in the hanging planter. Great ideas.
