Happy Labor Day, ladies! I'm back from my week off, feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. I hope you had a wonderful holiday weekend with someone (or someones) you love. With August in the rearview and September upon us, we're focusing on Fall fashion this week, emphasizing transition pieces. Today, I'm featuring one of my favorite denim jackets from Banana Republic. This will also allow me to talk about sustainable and slow fashion---a trend that's picked up sizeable steam over the past few years.

Transitioning from summer to fall with denim. A great way to ease into fall when the temps are still hot is with denim, especially dark rinse denim. These Bermuda shorts from Banana Republic are the perfect length. Pair the shorts with a tee for a polished summer look but add the matching denim jacket, and Voila!
This outfit spans the seasons, which is what we need right now. One foot in summer and one in fall... But if you’re ready to jump back into a pair of blue jeans, this ensemble boasts a pair of wide-leg jeans, and wide-leg crop jeans. Don’t forget Banana Republic offers a fantastic selection of Petites, including the wide-leg jeans and Denim jacket.

One thing I love about Banana Republic that has me going back for more is its inventory of wardrobe staples. Many items I purchased last year are restocked regularly. That also means BR has embraced sustainability and slow fashion. The trend for many years has had brands regularly churn out new collections every six weeks. It's exhausting, not good for mother earth and the pieces aren't good quality. Since I invest in classic wardrobe pieces that stand the test of time, I truly appreciate Banana Republic keeping its inventory stocked with timeless items. They have gone back to their roots of classic, timeless style.
And if you are having a moment with BR’s price point, head to Banana Republic Factory; they’re easy on your budget. As a matter of fact, they’re having a 50% off everything Labor Day Sale.

Your outfit makes me eager for cooler temperatures. I have a stainless steel band for my Apple Watch, but yours is especially beautiful!
Hello:
I so look forward to your posts. I in my mid-50s going to a concert (Michael Buble) mid-October. Wld love to see a suggested outfit. Thank you for being so amazing.
I noticed with the demin short the front pleats give you a slight pouch. I have a big belly and I think I would look better in a flat front pair.
Great tips and the outfit looks perfect on you. Did you ever decide on eye surgery. I am on the fence about having my lower lids done to get rid of the bags.
This is a very nice look on you, Beth. How perfect for the last hot days of summer.
Charming, fun, timeless, versatile. Great look that any woman could modify to maker her own.
