Summer is upon us, and summer weddings are in full swing. Weddings are such a happy occasion. What fun to put on our party duds and toast the new life the bride and groom are about to embark on. And speaking of party duds, do I have a wedding guest outfit perfect for this Summer.
And it won’t break the bank since it's from Nordstrom Made brand Open Edit from Nordstrom! Plus, the blazer and pants can be worn together or separately. So, let's get right down to it.
Today's featured item is a wedding guest outfit with matching blazer and pants
The outfit is modeled, and I pulled together 2 alternates

It's no secret that I'm loving wide-leg pants this season. This pair of pants from Open Edit (Nordstrom) come in three different colors. I went with purple bloom to match my blazer, but if you're looking for a neutral, make sure to check out the pants in beige. (Also, see my alternative stylings.)
I've paired the pants with a 4" heel to avoid any drag. I went with strappy mules, but a heel would work equally as well too.
I continue to be all about linen this Spring & Summer. Yesterday, I featured a linen shirt; today, a linen blazer. Blazers are perfect Spring-to-Summer transition pieces, and can easily be dressed up or down.
Of you’ve heard me say it once, you’ve heard me say it a thousand times - accessories are a girl’s best friend. Accessories unleash your personal style, taste, and preferences but they also offer unlimited opportunities to mix and match your wardrobe.
A single accessory, whether it be a bag or a scarf, can lift any outfit and take it to the next level.
Take a white blouse. It’s a blank canvas. Add a pair of jeans and you have an ordinary everyday outfit. But add a fabulous handbag, a pair of heels, a statement necklace or scarf and now you have a polished ensemble.
Accessories are always the icing on the cake. And don’t be afraid to invest in a silk scarf, luxury handbag, or jewelry. These are the items that stand the test of time and will be on rinse and repeat for years and years.

Yesterday, I showed you how I'm wearing shorts this summer. Click the title or image below to read the article.

Although I’m not a huge fan of wide leg pants, I could see myself wearing the outfit on the left with the cropped denim jacket. The linen suit is a lovely color of lavender, but my goodness, that jacket is huge! I think it would swallow me up. Instead, I would probably look for a smaller size jacket that is nipped in the waist to balance out the wide pants.
the trend this year is oversized blazers and wide-leg pants. it harkens back to Hollywood in the ’40s. but style is always about what you feel confident wearing.
Love the color and palazzo pants on you. Looks beautiful and elegant!
isn’t this a luscious shade of purple?!
It looks like the blazer you showed is Purple Spectre and the pants are Purple Bloom. It doesn’t look to me that they would match. There is a pant in Purple Spectre but is out of stock. I think the entire outfit is beautiful but I don’t want to order it if the pants and blazer are two different colors. Thank you.
Good gosh! The orchid wedding outfit is lovely, but, I can only imagine how wide I’d look in it as I’m not a size 8 & I don’t wear 3 1/2″ ? heels!
i’ve seen lots of plus size women rocking the new silhouette of oversized blazers with wide leg pants. it’s trés chic!
Stunning lady in a stunning ensemble! Wow, this might upstage the bride! You make wide-leg pants look good, Beth. Am no longer able to wear heels so just enjoy the memory of wearing them once upon a time! Want to mention yesterday’s OOTD was fantastic. My favorite pose? The one from behind…confirmed you look fabulous coming AND going! Hugs! ~
aren’t those gingham shorts adorable?! and i love the linen shirt. it’s so lightweight you can get by wearing it on a hot day. always love to hear from you!
Hello Beth, I just received my order, which was inspired by the Mother’s Day post. Every day is Mother’s Day T-shirt. I also ordered it for my daughter, I am very happy and excited about what she will say. I warmly welcome Éva from Budapest
Wow, 4 inch heels after a knee replacement! I am stunned (and the outfit is stunning as well)
i have worked hard to get my legs strong and mobility back. my Pilates instructor just commented on how far i’ve come! hard work does pay off.
