With the Artic blast gripping the country it’s time to think warm weather destinations. Sunshine and sandy beaches sound about right. Add blue skies and waves gently rolling to shore and I’m ready to pack my bags for a beach vacation. But what should I pack for a beach vacation or a Caribbean cruise? Today we’ll go over the components of Resort Wear for Women over 50.
Packing for vacation can be time-consuming but when you have a checklist it will be as easy as ticking the boxes off. And if there’s one retailer I can rely on for one-stop shopping it’s Nordstrom. They have it all when it comes to anything and everything I need for a resort vacation from bathing suits, sandals, and sunscreen. Even hats!
Today, we're escaping the cold winter temps and talking resort wear for women over 50

I've also pulled in 6 essential resort wear items to pack when going on a beach vacation
If you’re headed to the beach or simply lounging by the pool a bathing suit is a must-have. Pick a team: one-piece or two-piece (I like both), and pack two suits. One suit can be worn while the other suit dries.

I love to wear dresses when the temperature is hot. They’re one and done and are the perfect choice for a day of shopping or dinner poolside.
Sandals are a must-have for a resort vacation. Just make sure your pedicure is up to date! Bring flip-flops and evening sandals.
Most hotels have strict dress codes for their lobby. While the elevator may take you directly to beach level it’s always a good idea to have a cover-up on hand so you can traipse through the lobby or even have lunch poolside while looking chic yet keeping your swimsuit under cover.
Shorts are an easy solution for a resort vacation. Bermuda shorts are perfect for sightseeing or daytime excursions.
An evening handbag big enough to carry a credit card or cash, phone, and lipstick. A beach tote to store all of your sun accessories.
And don't forget the sun accessories!
A few of my favorite things about Nordstrom.
