Happy Thursday, ladies! It's cold and rainy here in Athens tonight as the outer bands of Nicole are hitting Athens. (Stay safe anyone that's being directly impacted!).
We've got a fun one for you tonight: the way too early holiday outfit edition. Building off of Kelly's Holidays with Talbots, I wanted to showcase a few fun holiday outfits that will take you from November straight through December.
Come December, our calendars are jam-packed. the last thing we want to stress over is “what to wear” to that holiday party. So, today, I’ve picked out a few outfits that just might get your creative juices flowing. So sit back grab a cup of joe and scroll to your heart’s content to find a little sparkle and shine inspiration.
Today, I'm featuring my way too early holiday outfit edition
I've rounded up some of my favorite holiday outfits from years past too give you a little style inspiration good through December
For each outfit, I've built inspiration outfits
Everything is shoppable via text- or image-widgets
Whether velvet, suede, or sequin, every woman needs a show-stopping skirt for the holidays.
If you want to "tame the show", you can offset the skirt with a more conservative top like I've done here. Or if you're more "life of the party" type of gal, you can go all out!
Faux fur vests can take almost any outfit to the next level. I've chosen a neutral top to set the vest against but went with a pair of eye-catching pants for added visual interest. But don't be afraid to get creative with this vest: try pairing it with a fun holiday midi skirt.
If you're a regular reader, you know how much I absolutely adore ponchos and ruanas. I've said it before, and I'll say it again: they work with any shape and body type.
Although not strictly a "holiday outfit", you absolutely can wear this outfit (or one like it) to any event this winter. From Thanksgiving straight through Christmas, a poncho just exudes those warm and cozy vibes we all love to feel during the holiday season.
Truthfully, holidays or not, a plaid vest is a great item to reach for during the fall & winter months. Great to throw on top of a pair of jeans and your favorite comfy cozy sweater, plaid vests never go out of style.
Last but not least, probably my favorite show-stopping holiday outfit. Definitely wayyyy too early to be pulling this one out, I could not resist.
Start with your favorite pair of leather leggings or pants. Add a pair of bedazzled shows and your favorite red blazer and you'll be ready for any and all holiday parties this season.
Cheers!

I’m confused. Many pictures feature you with stylish short hair. Are they old ??
I dunno. You look wonderful in all but it’s very confusing as sometimes items are sold out…..and hair is different. Just an observation. I appreciate the petite selections with Kelly as im short but have not seen anything I’d purchase. I will say
she has the most awesome recipes.!! Wow
Concentrate on that Kelly.
I think they’re “stock” or past photos. They’re beautiful but for inspiration only. I use them for that purpose.
So disappointed that I can’t buy the exact outfits you have on! I love those purplish patterned pants! I love that whole outfit and it’s so me; the alternative isn’t. Oh well. They all are so chic, but I really don’t like any of the boards as much as I like what you have on. The boards are either not my colors or there’s an element that won’t work, like pumps being to high and alternatives being too expensive etc. Not being negative, just frustrated. I am trying to form similar outfits with what I have and perhaps adding one alternative to make it work for my colors and style, and I know that’s the point!
Beth, I love your sharing of great outfits from the past, as well as your “similar” combinations, showcasing current options! Both are great inspirations…some I could create from my closet, others inspire possible purchase. I’m always pleased to see Kelly’s posts featuring petite clothing. I’m 5’3”ish (although close to 70 years old) and short waisted, so I appreciate her tips and styles! I LOVE the lace pants from yesterday’s post and have them sitting in my cart!
Keep up the good work!
Hi Donna, Kelly here…You’ll love wearing those lace pants. Thanks so much! xo Kelly
