Happy Monday, ladies! April is over and we're headed straight into May. Hard to believe, really. I do not know where 2022 is going. We've got a classic OOTD today that features one of our Readers' Favorites from last week: the classic Bristol blazer from J.Crew.
But before we kick off today's post, a quick housekeeping note. We made this announcement to our weekly newsletter subscribers last night and we're excited to share it more widely today.
My long-time followers will remember that in December of 2018, Style at a Certain Age released its first e-Magazine Home For The Holidays. After 3 years, I'm proud to announce that I've relaunched the magazine with my daughter-in-law Kelly.
This quarter's edition is 63 pages of all-new content, including travel outfit ideas, recipes, home organizational tips, and more.
If you're interested in purchasing a copy, scroll to the bottom of this post for more details.
Today's featured item is a Bristol blazer from J.Crew
The blazer is modeled, and I pulled together 2 alternates

Today's featured item is a Bristol Blazer from J.Crew. Ultimately, I'm a classic dresser with a preppy flair, and nothing strikes that note better than a blazer.
I'm loving this blazer for two reasons: the button details and the color. And as I've said it all Spring long: color is in this year.
But at the end of the day bright, bold colors aren't for everyone. And what's nice about this particular shade of pink: it's subdued, making it a perfect way to introduce color into your wardrobe.
A camisole is great to layer under a blazer, especially on those warmer days. But check the alternative stylings below for a few other options to pair with a blazer. Loving the blazer/shirtdress combo for SPring.
I keep going back to Paige for my jeans this Spring. Straight-leg jeans are in for 2022---a totally classic look. This pair is slightly distressed for a more modern look, complementing the blazer.
We just launched our new, quarterly e-Magazine for Spring. Here are the details on how to order your copy.

She’s 65, 5’8, and size 8.
You look nice in the outfit, but the muted pastel colors are not for me. I’m small and find double-breasted jackets overwhelming. I’m not a fan of camis either: it always looks to me as if one forgot to wear her blouse. The variations are nice. I love that you/Kelly do these alternative outfits!!!
Beth, your Mom would be over the moon, feasting her eyes on her girl in today’s OOTD…a perfect Mother’s Day tribute to the lady who taught you style. You look fabulous! Fresh, healthy, and an inspiration to us. Happy Mother’s Day 💐
sylvia, you are a breath of fresh air with your positivity. thanks so much for all the love you send my way!
Love the blazer, shell and color and cut of the jeans. I would not buy the jeans because of the back pocket, though.
distressed jeans aren’t everyone’s cup of tea. thank goodness for choices in the 21st century!
Your hair is pretty!
thanks, carroll!
Beautiful blazer on you! Just a perfect soft color. Beautiful styling too.
I’d like to find a single breasted blazer just like that!
i am loving this soft shade of blush this spring! this blazer has been on style repeat since it came home!
I have been looking at this blazer for about 2 weeks, telling myself I did not need another one.
That this light pale pink was not my color, but when you showed the alternate look with the blue top to go underneath, I bit and bought it today. Love the style and material and will go with so many things this Spring and Summer. Looks great with jeans, but I too would not order because of the pocket. Have a great day.
you will love the blazer. and you might even love these jeans due to the amazing fit. but style is always what your feel confident and comfortable wearing.
Are there specific rules in wearing a blazer with a dress? Also, are plaid summer blazer out of style or still modern?
blazers look fantastic with dresses. just pay attention to proportions. and plaid blazers are going strong for summer.
Love the look Beth thank you. What color tee is the blue Talbots one? Thank you. And did you get a size 8 in the jacket? Thank you and happy week:)
yes, i am wearing a size 8 in the blazer.
Beth, this outfit is fantastic! The colors look great on you. Nothing elevates an outfit like a blazer! I appreciate your style and also your dedication to we ladies of a “certain age!” Keep up the good work!
a blazer is a wardrobe staple that works for just about any and every occasion! thanks so much for stopping by!
Lovely blazer. I wear a lot of them. They are my signature.
You look fabulous in these photos….much younger and it looks like you have softened the color of your hair…perhaps a blonde shade???? I don’t know what you have done but it looks fantastic. You look rested and youthful.
