Since the weather has been hot and hotter in this neck of the woods I decided a Long Island Iced Tea was in order although strangely this recipe doesn’t have an ounce of tea included. Legend has it that since the cocktail resembled an iced tea it was an easy disguise as a sober commonplace drink during Prohibition. Others claim it was concocted during a cocktail crafting competition held on Long Island. Either way, drinker beware as this cocktail packs a punch with tequila, vodka, gin, rum, and triple sec mixed together with a splash of cola!
Cute outfit. The shorts are all ready sold out in my size. The recipe sounds awesome. Will have to try it. Hi Oscar and Ollie, I chuckled at Ollie! Something one of my cats would do.
Have tried to Pin the Lobster Mac n Cheese recipe but the only thing that comes up is the Long Island Iced Tea.
hi Marsha! I just tested the PIN IT that’s located on the top of the recipe and it took me to the Mac & Cheese recipe.
Enjoy the holiday weekend with your family! Best picture of Ollie. I love that Talbot’s top. Will need to check it out. Your tablescape is perfect for the Fourth. Where did you find that great table runner?
Happy, happy 4th of July! Enjoy!
Hi Beth, I’m sure you will all have a lovely time on Monday 4th July, it all looks lovely.
I did post a comment on your Instagram but just in case you didn’t see it it’s was about Cocktails. We have been watching a programme on The Savoy in London and they have a cocktail called Hanky Panky 45ml Dry gin, 45ml sweet red vermouth,
7.5ml Fernet Branca. Stirred over ice into a chilled glass. It was created by Ada ‘Coley’ Coleman head bartender at The Savoy in 1903. Just thought you might want to try it. Have a lovely weekend regards Julie x
I can see why everybody is coming to your house this weekend! What a delicious meal you have planned.
Wishing you and all your compatriots a joyful, peaceful weekend
I like everything in this post. I really like the shorts and the top. I’m heading to Talbots even though I know I won’t be wearing it this weekend. Oh well. The recipes all sound good and easy, which is what I like.
Happy 4th!!
Love your 4th outfit! Of course the shorts are already sold out! They were too cute to last!
Have a happy holiday Beth!
