What to wear to a wedding? The blog fields a lot of questions about wedding attire: Mother of the Bride, Mother of the Groom, and plain old wedding guest. When shopping for wedding guest attire I typically refer women to Halsbrook and Anthropologie. In particular, Anthropologie has an entire brand called BHLDN that’s dedicated to wedding dresses for the Bride, Bridesmaids, Mother of the Bride, and shoes and accessories.
Today, we're deep-diving into wedding dresses. I'm modeling one of my favorites of the season, but I've also pulled together 15 different dresses from some of my favorite retailers. Whether you're going to a country wedding or city affair, there's something for you.

Since June is for all things brides and weddings today’s post is devoted to wedding attire. And do I have a dress for you! The Diana dress from Norma Kamali has been around since the ‘70s. Say what? Yes, Norma Kamali designed this very dress in the early days of her career then modified it in the ’80s.
This dress has staying power due to the draped fabric and flattering fit. Trust me, anyone and everyone will look good in this dress! It’s a timeless classic with a mid-range price point. What’s better than that? The Diana dress comes in an array of colors and is available at multiple retailers Nordstrom, Bloomingdale’s, Saks Fifth Avenue, Evereve, Anthropologie
For accessories, I chose an acrylic shoe (a dupe from Manolo Blahnik) that keeps the attention on the dress. A glitzy clutch and a scarf (similar here and here)
I can wear as a wrap, over one shoulder, or draped around my neck. Statement earrings and a gold bracelet add a touch of glam to this sophisticated outfit.

Beth, you look stunning in this dress!! I love it!!
it’s also a very comfortable dress to wear!
I have followed you for a few years now and I must say you have never looked so beautiful as in this dress!
Absolutely stunning!
what a lovely compliment! thank you!
This dress is an absolute KNOCKOUT! I can see how it would look stunning on everyone. This color looks wonderful on you.
thanks, judy!
Would you mind sharing the type of undergarments you are wearing with this dress?
this dress is unique as it has a body suit that you step into. i also wore a strapless bra. but the dress is very similar to wearing a swimsuit in an odd sort of way.
You are lovely in this! dress! Made for your tall, slim figure. I don’t think it would do much for me at 5’1” tall and 82 years old🤣. Judy
what’s age got to do with style? Helen Mirren, Viola Davis, and Jane Fonda come to mind. They’re killing it!
Beth, you look lovely in this dress. But it requires a strapless bra which many find uncomfortable. And is a little bare for a church ceremony. I guess you could use the scarf as cover and remove for the reception.
i hope you read the entire post that shared lots of different options for weddings – destination, casual, formal, etc… there are so many choices for venues these days. this dress is perfect for a black-tie or formal wedding and i added a scarf that can be used in multiple ways.
You look absolutely stunning in this dress! I like how you made a little cape in the back and around your neck…. Magnificent!!❤️
You look absolutely gorgeous!
You always look amazing in blue anything, but especially in blue for al styles 🥂. This dress is gorgeous and your hair is really lovely – showcases your face, and very feminine. Always love to see you dressed to the nines.
Love the dresses! In particular the Diana and the hot pink Rio ones. The colors are so pretty and the fit is very flattering. I also really like the way your hair is styled. It always looks great, but the flippy sides are so pretty!
