it’s been said many times that a picture is worth a thousand words. so today, i’m going to let mr. style’s photos speak for themselves. but i will share that our favorite german shepherd has been cooped up in the house due to rain and more rain the past few weeks. who remembers snow days when our kiddos were little? when it was too cold to venture outside, and they were home with mom all day? forget about getting one thing ticked off your to-do list with three active boys underfoot. i kind of miss those days from time-to-time even if they seemed to last more than twenty-four hours… these days, the same sort of antics is occurring at our house with oscar and ollie because oscar has a lot of pent-up energy. it’s all too funny.
but the raindrops held off today even if the skies are grey. we’ll take it! it’s time for oscar to take off on one of his daily walks. i’ll let you scroll through the joy of it all. aren’t animals amazing? there’s so much we can learn from them. like unconditional love and not holding a grudge. it’s beautiful to see how one simple activity brings so much joy to their lives and mine.

did anyone notice that oscar and i match today? love orange and red. if you follow the blog on Facebook, you will have to actively look (yes, grammarians this is a split infinitive. but necessary) for my page and post. Facebook has tweaked their algorithms, so the post won’t necessarily pop up in your feed. okay, ladies, it’s friday! we made it. oscar and i wish each of you a lovely weekend. xo

I’m glad to hear Oscar got a chance to get out and romp. He looks happy as a clam. He really looks attentive–smart dog! Have a wonderful weekend! ps–that looks like quite a pothole behind you two in one of those pictures! Yikes. Careful driving over that!
that’s our neighbors driveway! it’s pretty bad but at least we don’t have to drive over it. oscar was raring to go on his walk. he always is! it’s his favorite time of day.

He is indeed a lovely dog and has really fallen on his feet with people who love him. Love his adventures.
oscar has the best demeanor, jackie! love this dog to bits. but german shepherds are a wonderful loyal breed. so happy we have the chance to own one.

Such a handsome boy! I like that utility jacket too, have been looking for one that’s sleeker and not distressed.
hi sue! what would we do without our faithful companions? i really liked this utility jacket with the drawstring so i can fiddle with the overall drape. j.crew strikes again!

Last photo: Oscar saying “Thanks, mom. I adore you.” Aw!
oscar is such a good boy. i can’t sing his praises enough.

He’s such a handsome boy! You two look great in your cool jackets, too…having so much fun, together…Sweet! Yes…I love to go to the park next door and feed the crows, squirrels and birds and just hang out with them…the squirrels and crows look for me to throw peanuts in their shells to them…it is fun and they are cute and personable, sometimes…and the smaller birds are cute and friendly, too sometimes..Animals seem to ground me in myself…and get me back to just being me…Ha ha ..
observing nature is a great pastime. i’m fascinated with the birds and bees. of course those naughty squirrels are always up mischief. but they are so fun to watch.
