#ad this post brought to you by Ann Taylor.
it’s the last weekend in july, gang. it seems the summer months are determined to zip by at a rapid pace! but i’m enjoying every minute of sunshine and warm temps especially since one of our kiddos is headed home. it’s gonna be a jam-packed weekend of fun, to say the least. one of my strategies to keep our schedule running smoothly is to plan my wardrobe in advance. and Ann Taylor is helping me keep my style game on pace for the hectic weekend that includes, cocktails, brunch, and a trip to Chateau Elan. phew. plus, AT is in the midst of their terrific semi-annual sale, so it’s never been easier to update my wardrobe!
dresses continue to be my main focus this summer. they are one and done! what’s easier than that? this timeless wrap dress is a welcome addition to my closet. love the vibrant floral pattern and breezy flutter sleeves that give this dress a modern twist. it will be perfect for touring our local winery and, of course, lunch.

how i love cocktail hour! so why not usher in the weekend come five o’clock in a vibrant outfit that’s certain to keep a prep to my step while we linger over a cool beverage. take a peek at the adorable ruffled pockets on the pink crop pants. but that’s not all. look at how the fringe hem jazzes up a simple navy sweater? can you say prepilicious?

if you don’t have an LWD hanging in your closet you are missing out on a summer wardrobe workhorse. this little number will take me to brunch this sunday in style while it helps me keep my cool. this textured knit sheath dress is a dream to wear with a chiffon neckline that adds a little pizazz. and it’s lined.
here’s oscar waiting impatiently for andrew to arrive. i don’t know how dogs do it, but they always know when something exciting is about to happen. they must have an internal radar screen because it’s uncanny how they sense the world around them. yours truly is ready to hop into the car with mr. style for our airport run. these boardwalk shorts and sparkling rose shell are perfect for a one hundred mile round-trip drive that might include a pit-stop for lunch. the cotton jersey shell is so dang comfy, and i love the addition of the sheer woven hem for a layered look without the layers!
