  2. Alec says:

I just want to thank you for your postings. It is so wonderful to see someone talking about fashion for older women. Since I’ve been on your email list, I have “gone grey”, added brighter, bolder colors to my wardrobe, and began wearing my yellow gold jewelry again. I thought grey hair could not wear yellow gold. Please continue. You brighten my day.

    Hi Beth,
Love your posts and most recently the recipes from your daughter in law.
I am reeling with the sudden news that my husband has stage 4 brain cancer. Your sharing of your experiences this past year have been important reading to me.
We are so lucky as our daughter and husband are moving from Washington DC to Napa right away. Please keep up your raw, real postings. They mean more than you know. With love Beth B

God bless you, Beth. It isn’t an easy road to travel when you’re soulmate is faced with a health crisis. of course, he is the one suffering the most but the whole family is affected. Nothing warms my heart more than to hear your daughter and son-n-law are moving to DC to be with you. Lean on them and they will lean on you. Sending prayers your way. xo

Love this look on you, Beth. Animal prints done right simply elevate! The tunic top is perfect. I’ll echo the gratitude expressed by blog sisters for taking us through this COVID-19 summer with a positive outlook. It’s been ever so helpful! Love on your Oscar, Ollie, & Pax for us~

  5. Kathleen McDermott says:

Such a charming outfit. You look adorable. I love animal prints too and agree they are a super neutral. They look fabulous with almost any color and are far more interesting and eye catching than solid neutrals. Oscar does animal print beautifully. P.S. I’m wearing my sleeveless blouses and shorter shorts again because of you. Thank you. I look good and feel comfy in NJ summer heat. Win win!

I am so glad you noticed how Oscar rocks his animal print?! isn’t he just the most handsome dog? Love him to bits! You keep on wearing those sleeveless blouses and shorter shorts. Style is also about comfort. xo

Love those shorts & I just ordered them!
And got them on sale! Love your Fridays!
Keep up the good stylin for us older chicks!

  7. Charlotte Krecow says:

I’m always very disappointed when I cannot order items you feature in your blog. It seems this happens way to often. I’d almost prefer not to know about the item rather than be tempted by it, only to be denied the chance to purchase it.

    Any way around this?

    • Beth Djalali says:

one of the biggest challenges as a blogger is featuring items that are in-stock. the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is always challenging as items sell out then are restocked then sell out again. Talbots items are typically in-stock as well as J.Crew and they are favorite brands of mins. but we do have a very popular blog and items can and do sell out frequently. which is a win for the brand but a loss for my readers.

Thanks Beth for all your posts. I look forward to them everyday. I have been looking a fashion from a different vantage point since joining the blog. Thank you for your optimism and love of fashion.
Love to Ollie, Oscar and Pax!

OK – this has to be the best post ever! I have become obsessed with animal prints. In the last 6 months I have purchased a turtleneck to be worn under a black cashmere sweater, Talbot’s new long sleeve animal print shirt, and also a pair of sling back animal print flats. Not to be all worn at the same time!!! I think the print kind of confuses the eye if you know what I mean – it is very kind to any body imperfections. I will definitely make those Thai lettuce wraps.
