Happy, happy Friday, gang! And just like that we’re halfway through June. I have to admit the weather has been delightful here in Georgia. I will take every minute as I know the sweltering weather is right around the corner. Today, we are wearing classic summer patterns and we’re dishing up a Veggie Pizza that is so easy to make and perfect for a summer evening. Our cocktail is a twist on an espresso martini. It’s an espresso vodka tonic. Try it if you’re looking for something a bit different.

I’m always a sucker when it comes to polka dots. This halter top from Ann Taylor has pom poms that rim the hem. I chose black boardwalk shorts so the hem all but disappears but it’s a whimsical feature that adds a little pizazz. The halter top has matching pants which I will feature next week.

It’s hard not to love stripes in the summertime. The nautical feeling they evoke can transport one to a cruise or beach holiday. Plus, they are a great pattern for mixing and matching with other prints like floral, for a fresh, energetic, and fun outfit.

I like this red striped top from J.Crew. Soft light cotton, it’s a great all-purpose top. I can see wearing it with navy bottoms for the Fourth of July!
