Happy Friday, ladies! It’s time to kick off another weekend with a delicious recipe and refreshing cocktail. Oscar is in seventh heaven since the weather is not too cold nor too hot, and he can sit on his hill and survey his land. The blooms on the roses have come and gone. Now, it’s time for my hydrangeas to shine. Last year, we had a late frost, which impacted my beautiful hydrangeas in the front yard. But for whatever reason, the hydrangeas in my backyard weren’t affected and are now loaded with buds bursting to bloom. It’s going to be a bumper crop!
It’s a toss-up between peonies and hydrangeas, which is my favorite flower. Hydrangeas are more prevalent, and I always have fresh hydrangeas on my coffee table in the living room. But whenever I spy a bouquet of peonies, they always end up coming home with me.
Today, we welcome the weekend with casual spring outfits

Have I found THE most comfortable pair of pants that happens to be on trend, Mother Straight Leg Jeans I purchased at Anthropologie. Mother just knows how to make great-fitting and flattering jeans. Mother The Hustler is one of my go-to’s, but this pair I’m wearing today has a hint of stretch, which makes them the perfect go-to pants because they truly don’t feel like jeans. I’ve already worn them several times this spring and know they will easily transition to summer. Definitely size down one size as they run big.

Kelly’s Outfit: Similar Wide Leg Jeans | Fine Rib Boatneck Tee | Ralph Lauren Polo Sandals
J. McLaughlin is one of my favorite brands. The Arlette Turtleneck can’t be beaten, and I’ve repeatedly shared these Jessamine Grasscloth Sandals, but I’m also a big fan of their Jamey sweater, a lightweight stretch knit in thirteen colors. It’s so darn comfy to wear!
I added an old raffia belt (old, similar here, here, and here) and wedge suede sandals for texture. If you want a shoe with height but still want stability, wedge shoes are your best bet. They look great with dresses, skirts, or pants. A wedge espadrille is a good summer shoe, as is a patent leather sandal.

(J.Crew)
I have only a short amount of time left to wear denim before it gets way too hot, so today I am wearing my favorite wide-leg jeans, these are from last year, but there is a similar pair from Nordstrom. I love this Fine Rib Boatneck Tee from J.Crew. It's a perfect go-to tee for spring outfits of all kinds.

What goes better with spring outfits heading into the weekend than a Negroni? Well, when you try a new twist on an old favorite, you have something extra special. The Strawberry Basil Negroni is a great way to enjoy spring's fresh strawberries.
What a salad! This salad is so rich thanks to the avocado dressing. The crispy tortillas add crunch, the snap peas are crisp and the radish is peppery. Such a well-balanced salad!
Oscar, Ollie, Kelly, and I wish you a lovely weekend!

Really like your casual outfit today, Beth. I have a pink and white stripped top similar from J Mclaughlin from last Spring. Will need to wear that today with white jeans.
I too am torn between which is my favorite flower the peony or hydrangea. I had both in my wedding flowers. Though I lean toward the peony, the hydrangeas last longer. Both are beautiful but mine have not bloomed out yet in Minnesota, but soon, as this is a early warm Spring here. Have a great weekend.
J.McLaughlin makes the best knitwear! Happy weekend!
