Boy, oh boy, we have a good post today. Who else loves a charcuterie and cheese board?! It’s so easy to put together and so darn good. I love to graze my way through a meal. And my friends and family do too! Once the board is assembled, the hard part is over. Now you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the delicious food, company, and cocktails. Today, we have a Fall Charcuterie and Cheese Board with libations perfect for a fall day - an apple cider smash that’s garnished with apples. It’s delish!
College football is in full swing, and while the Georgia Bulldogs are ranked #1, we have the easiest, and I mean easiest schedule this year. It’s a rebuilding year with a brand-new quarterback. Love The Dawgs, but we’ll see what happens… On another note, my alma mater, the University of Iowa Hawkeyes, slipped into the rankings at #24. Go Hawks! All I know is that it’s great to have college football blaring in the background on a Saturday afternoon and night!

We are making a fall charcuterie and cheese board and an apple cider smash
(Boden)
I don’t know what the weather is like in your neck of the woods, but fall has paid a visit to Georgia, and we have had the most glorious temps the past week. The sun has been shining, the humidity has dissipated and it’s time to slip into sweaters, jackets, and jeans. Yep, sweater weather has finally arrived! Today, I kept my ootd simple with a pair of everyday relaxed jeans from Talbots (their Friends & Family sale with 30% off your purchase is still going on) paired with a blue button-up and fair isle sweater vest from Boden. These suede loafers have been pulling double duty as I reach for them each time I slip into a pair of denim. It’s the prepster in me!

Suede loafers are on style repeat all season long. Their comfort can’t be beaten, and they make a preppy statement all on their own.

Corduroy jeans have become one of my favorite fall and winter go-to's; I just love the texture and the rich saturated colors of corduroy this season. These evergreen High-Rise Vintage Slim Corduroy Pants are from Gap Factory. Their high rise vintage jeans are some of my favorite fitting jeans, and the cords are no different. This pair is their version of petite, called “short” and the length is perfect for those of us 5’3” and under.

This Link Jacquard Sweater Tee is from Ann Taylor. I love how the link pattern is made up of green and chestnut colors, it means both pairs of my Gap cords coordinate perfectly! It’s a jacquard sweater tee, so it has a subtle silvery sheen to it, which elevates it a bit, but it still feels casual. You could definitely dress it up a bit with a skirt or pants and a jacket for a day at the office.
Apples + Bourbon = perfect fall cocktail! With the Apple Brandy and Bourbon, this Apple Cider Smash is seasonal, festive, and colorful with the mix of Granny Smith and Gala Apples. The sparkling apple cider topper lets you make this a lower-ABV cocktail if you prefer, just use a tall glass to allow room for more sparkling cider.
Make it fun and festive for the season with tiny pumpkins and seasonal fruits like grapes and figs. No recipe here, just go with the cheeses and meats you like the best. A good rule of thumb is to keep it all balanced with a variety of soft and hard cheeses; a couple of different cured meats; have some salty and briny elements like nuts and olives; and add sweet notes with fruit and dark chocolate.
Oscar, Ollie, Kelly, and I wish you a lovely weekend. Cheers!

Sweet Oscar makes me smile. As does Olie. Enjoy the day.
Have a great weekend!
Love the sweater vest. I bought it when you first posted it. Have not worn it yet but maybe tomorrow as the temps are going to drop. It is to be 65 here today and too warm for it for me, but tomorrow only 58. Seems more like sweater vest weather. I like the many way you have worn it already. Have a fun football watching day.
Isn’t it a cute sweater?! I’m a sucker for Fair Isle and this sweater vest is a great addition. Enjoy your weekend!
Oscar looks like he tasted the charcuterie. Cute! Last year for Thanksgiving, we had a whole charcuterie table! We peeled clementines and added a celery stem to make edible “pumpkins”. Fall is my favorite season, too.
Oscar is ever hopeful when it comes to extra special treats! Thanks for sharing your Charcuterie Thanksgiving! It sounds like a real treat! Cheers to the weekend.
Love the slim cords. Cute AT top, but AT doesn’t use natural fibers, so a clear ‘no.’ I always love Oscar, but Ollie stole the show today. What a gorgeous — and large — cat!
Ollie is a hoot! Enjoy your weekend!
You outdid yourself today with both clothes and food! Love it! We will be celebrating college football with my nephew in NY this weekend..Go Purdue Boilermakers! Have a great weekend ❤️
Always love to hear from you, Janet! Nothing beats a charcuterie board! Cheers to the weekend.
