fridays with oscar
the fog rolled into san francisco this morning so i was happy i grabbed my jacket before we headed out the door. i always love the fact that in california you can wear sandals all year round. i take advantage of this as often as i can. today is a somber day for america. i’m certain all of us can remember where we were when we heard the tragic news that we now refer to as 9/11. it is an infamous day in history just like pearl harbor. my father’s birthday fell on pearl harbor and he always referred to his 7th birthday in just those terms ‘a day that will live in infamy.’ i couldn’t help but think of him today – he would have loved my outfit, and he would have razzed me about it but would have timed it perfectly. like waiting for me to check out in the grocery store. he would have casually sidled next to me and ask in a deadpan face, “what time are you checking in with your parole officer?” or, “did you make a jailbreak?” gotta love those pranksters in your life. and oh, how i miss him!
oscar and i wish you a safe weekend. let’s not ever forget 9/11, and those who tragically lost their lives, and their surviving family members.

This mustard yellow is one of my favorite colors this Fall! And it’s a yellow that I can actually wear without looking jaundiced. It is perfect with the stripes and moto jacket. You are definitely rocking this look, Beth!
