the month of january is all about staying warm, and dry. so it’s always a good idea to have more than one coat hanging in your closet even if you don’t live in the frozen tundra. what with the wonky winter we are all experiencing, who knows what the weather forecast might be on an given day? that’s why i love a versatile coat fit for all sorts of weather conditions. today, the the sun is shining overhead, and it’s time for one of my daily walks with oscar. so for me, a classic waxed field jacket can’t be beat. barbour is the brand favored by the royal family – princess diana, and the duchess of cambridge come to mind when i think of this tried-and-true classic. but there are many brands and price-points to choose from if you’re in the market to have this beauty in your coat line-up. look for details like flap pockets that close with golden press studs. since it’s dry outside today, i’m donnng my favorite suede boots to keep warm, and stylish while i crunch through a few leaves. navy and green are perfect when paired together, especially this time of year, and if it weren’t for oscar i think i’d blend perfectly into the woods.
oscar and i wish each of you a lovely weekend!

Love this! Pinned it and hope to recreate it…now this is an outfit I could wear to Lowe’s…ha! Does the waxed jacket require special care?
boots and lowe’s go hand-in-hand! but i don’t know, you might wow ’em with a pair of heels… i’m not aware of any extra care for this jacket, i just turn it inside-out when i throw it in the washer. cold water, and line dry. i try not to use the dryer with most of my items. line-drying is just so much safer.
