okay, okay, last friday was national stripes day. clearly, i did not receive the memo in time. better late than never! and this ootd couldn’t be better to kick off the celebration. as a matter of fact, if the fourth of july weren’t so dang hot here in georgia i’d already have my outfit picked out. the skirt will definitely work but most likely i’ll have to part with this cute embroidered lobster sweater. i couldn’t resist pairing it with this skirt today for a fun weekend look. and with the temps on the chilly side, it was the perfect layer. a pair of white tennis shoes completes this prepilicious look. and keep me sure-footed on my walk with oscar.
the sun is out once again, but the wind is fierce today. and with all the rainfall the trees and grass are lush and green. today, oscar and i are easing into the weekend with no particular plans. but first, coffee.
oscar and i wish each of you a lovely weekend.

Love the mix of the two directional stripes. May have to steal this idea from you for some decor planning!-Laurel Bledsoe
What a fun outfit especially for a Friday! The sweater has to make you smile and I like how you styled it with stripes. So jealous . . . it is still not warm enough here to go without a jacket or coat. It is Tiger opening day here—practically a holiday in Michigan—and it snowed last night. Good news it is supposed to be 70 on Sunday. Hope we have turned a corner on winter.
You look very fresh and comfy in your otf. Have a nice weekend both of you!
Love the stripes and the way you styled them! I see you made good use of your shopping time in Charleston. The lobstah sweater ties it all together. Oscar is ever the gentleman, never pulling on his lead. I would imagine people have come to recognize him on his walks. His own little fan club… xoxo
You and Oscar look so happy with spending some quality time together – enjoy the weekend!
Love it! My son and daughter-in-law just bought a weekend cottage up in Maine, and that lobster sweater might have to make a trip up to my daughter-in-law! I like that skirt, too–I have a Talbot pink/navy striped skirt that’s similar, but this has some nice details. Happy Friday from Merced, CA, where it is quite windy and chilly!
This is so cute on you! I love everything about it but especially that you were able to put two different stripes together with a lobster. I keep trying preppy but it just doesn’t work for me. But I do love a cute skirt and the lobster just cracks me up!
