it’s time to live our best lives, ladies. it’s time to celebrate all things older and bolder. that’s why this blog is dedicated to aging with grace, strength, and beauty. there are so many reasons to celebrate getting older. life lessons have been learned, we’re comfortable in our skin, yet there are always new adventures to embark upon. yes, our skin requires more attention, our bodies definitely need to hit the gym, and our hair has its own special needs, whether it’s thinning or the color has changed. but there’s always a solution to any problem. Hair Biology has devoted an entire hair care line to our demographic. hooray!
one question i am asked above all others is how do i keep my silver locks in tip-top shape? one product i’m always on the lookout for is purple shampoo. why? well, just like blonde hair, silver hair tends to get brassy. ugh! that’s where Hair Biology steps in with a line developed specifically to work with women’s unique hair biology not against it. just as our bodies and skin are aging, our hair is aging too. once we hit 45, there are lots of changes that begin to occur. i’m certain you’ve noticed at least one or two differences like dryness or thinning, going grey, or maybe your once shiny locks have become dull and lackluster. well, i’m pleased to announce there’s help! Hair Biology is on a mission to celebrate aging and to help our hair look and feel its very best – changes and all. so here’s how i take care of gray aging hair.
isn’t the packaging gorgeous? the blue bottle with gold and silver lettering is oh so elegant.
once a week, i indulge in a Deep Hydration Mask from Hair Biology that brings back shine and moisture to dull, dry, or brittle hair. beautiful hair doesn’t stop just because we’re growing older. the Deep Hydration Mask available exclusively at Target is part of the Soft & Hydrated Collection designed to add deep moisture to aging and changing hair.
for the past year, I’ve had the privilege to test the Hair Biology Purple Shampoo and Conditioner. silver/grey hair can turn brassy if it’s overexposed to sunlight or using hot tools on our hair. blow dryers, straighteners, and curling irons being the main culprits. for years i’ve added a purple shampoo into my hair care regimen but you might find it interesting to know that purple conditioners are few and far between. so i can’t tell you how relieved i was when i learned Hair Biology made a purple shampoo and purple conditioner in their Silver & Glowing line. i loved how both products gave me a one-two punch that not only rid my hair of any yellow tones but left my hair feeling hydrated and shiny. and if by chance you’re coloring your hair blonde this will work for you too!
for those of you who struggle with thinning hair, there’s a wonderful product called Thickening Treatment designed to give you fuller-looking hair. and who doesn’t want that at any age? the Thickening Treatment benefits are progressive: the more you use it, the thicker your hair. now that’s a win/win for many of us that notice our hair thinning each year.
adding Hair Biology Silver & Glowing Shampoo and Conditioner once or twice a week keeps my silver/grey hair looking and feeling lustrous.
the Argan Oil Taming Serum keeps my hair smooth and shiny. it’s a must-have for healthy hair. shop all the products at Target.
the Full & Vibrant collection available exclusively at Target includes a shampoo, and conditioner that together weightlessly cleanses, nourishes, instantly thickens, and fights breakage.
it’s time to live our best lives today! people and pets are counting on us to do just that. thank goodness brands like Hair Biology are dedicated to helping us grow bolder as we grow older.
a big thank you to Hair Biology for this sponsored post. and thank you lovely readers for supporting the brands that allow me to bring you fresh ideas!

I started using Hair Biology about a year? ago. I really like it. I don’t have gray/silver hair (because I have it colored), and I have been lucky, so far, not to have thinning hair. But I am 67, so my hair is changing.
Their products keep my hair soft, silky, manageable, and looking and feeling great. (And I love that I don’t have to spend a lot to get their great products.)
just love Hair Biology and the fact they listened to the needs of our demographic.
I bought the full line of the hair biology after your first post about them and thank you. I just love them.
such a good hair care line! i’m so happy to hear you love them too.
I order the full and vibrant shampoo and conditioner.
Maybe I should it order the Hydrated one.
Thank you

I also use this shampoo and conditioner and thickening treatment, Love it. My hair has never felt so good!
Hair Biology is a fantastic line! glad to hear you love them too.
Love these products. Been using them since Covid and going fully grey/white. Love the argon oil, everyone comments how shiny my hair is.
so happy to hear you’ve been pleased with Hair Biology! good stuff.
Okay, I bought everything. This post spoke to all my hair needs.
I’d love to see you do a tutorial on how you blow dry your hair. It always looks amazing.
then head to Instagram. i just posted a pixie tutorial. also, there a few YouTube videos dedicated to my hair.
Several months ago you did a post on the HB products and I was intrigued. Unfortunately my Target didn’t carry them, but I found a very limited quantity not far from my daughter’s house in the next city over. And I was really bummed when I ran out of the Hair Thickener. So imagine my delight today after reading this and going to Target online and finding them all there. Even better, I had to go in person to Target for something and I looked for HB and found them all. I am now a happier camper!
that is great news. if your local store ever runs out the products are always available online!
Whew….Was worried we wouldn’t see Oscar today! He’s such a handsome dude. That blue or is it periwinkle color looks very good on you, Beth.
periwinkle it is! but stay tuned to tomorrow’s post ‘cuz oscar will be there.
Is the volumizing shampoo also purple? I want to do both at one time.
no, the two aren’t combined. and i only use my purple shampoo once or twice a week. otherwise my hair does turn a shade of lavender.
I use the shampoo and conditioner volumize hair biology. My hair is fine.
I look forward to your emails and use your styles for myself. Love your post.
i so appreciate you being here!
I want to try these products. I have fine hair, little to no grey. I could use some thickener. Beth, you look great in the periwinkle blouse. I love that shade of blue. It looks good with the white denim, too! Thanks for stylin’!
thanks, joanie! i hope you try Hair Biology. good stuff!
Hi Beth, love the pics of your cut – excellent style.
I find purple shampoos, regardless of brand, drying so stopped using them. I’m glad to see the lady with the fine hair says she likes this line. Fine, thick hair is my issue, so will definitely give this a whirl. Take care, stay safe!
i have had so many readers share that they love Hair Biology. let me know what you think!
Went to target to buy HB shampoo hydration and hair spray . So glad I did. I have very fine hair and going natural.. so I’m like a dirty blond. Most of products make my hair flat.. and dirty looking. This is a total success. Love it so much. I want back to target to get the lift in that brand. Thank you Beth for your posts they are so great!
i’m so happy to hear you love Hair Biology. good stuff!
