today, it’s all about holiday party style. maybe it’s too early to make a list and check it twice. but it’s never too soon to plot and plan ‘what to wear’ to that holiday party that’s fast on our heels. but, hey, let’s not forget about thanksgiving. after all, november is all about talkin’ turkey. didn’t i tell you i was determined to breeze through the next few weeks? and you can too!
when it comes to holiday dressing, you can’t go wrong with a classic color combo and a bold lip. but instead of a traditional red lipstick, i went with a pop of pink. i’ve also played around with different makeup palettes that are party-perfect (stay tuned for a video). but i found a new lip shade that’s certain to brighten my day. and the name? frenemy. where do they come up with the names?! i want that job. the lipstick also has a matching lip pencil.

shoes and clutch are a matched set today – both are available at talbots. the spotted calf hair brings subtle texture to the ootd. this lace-tie blouse was recently purchased at macy’s for my new york trip. but do you think i can find it online? it is linked to the exact grommet and tie blouse with but with a subtle pattern. the flutter sleeve adds a touch of femininity as does the flowy georgette fabric. these are the subtle details that set a blouse apart from the rest.
happy tuesday, gang! and stay tuned for that makeup tutorial. who says you can’t teach an old dog new tricks? what fun it’s been trying out new makeup and techniques.

Very pretty–I always like a classic coat, too–I have a lot of jackets and different style coats, but I like a good classic line and this fits the bill.
Love it! So chic and classy, a pop of pink lipstick is just perfect:)
