You kitchen is charming. I must suggest that you store your heavy appliances like your mixer and food processor at an ergonomic height. Lifting heavy items from below knee level or above shoulder height usually results in awkward postures thus increasing the potential of a musculoskeletal injury.

  4. Susan says:

Beth, thank you for sharing your home with us! I just realized my laundry needs a facelift! OOTD is adorable, look forward to your blog everyday. Thank you for all your wonderful ideas!

Thanks for sharing the home tour with us, Beth! I really enjoyed all of these posts. I love the mix of functionality and style you’ve achieved in your home.

    • Beth Djalali says:

you can have the most beautiful room but if it doesn’t pull double duty by being functional something is missing. form and function work hand in hand. thanks so much for stopping by!

Love it especially the laundry room

  8. Sherry Shepherd says:

Had to chuckle a bit after reading your kitchen/laundry tour. I enjoy your blog, love your style and have felt a kinship each time I read a new post. I too live in the Athens area ( Watkinsville) have short, grey hair and love a classic style. We even have the same kitchen counters.🙂. Sherry

  9. Suzanne Smith says:

Very nice. Funny–we also removed the doors to a set of our cabinets on one wall that face our great room–the cathedral ceiling family room and dining area. I can store and display pretty items and then the cabinets that don’t face that area still have doors on them and I store canned goods and pots/pans, etc. We don’t have a pantry, but it works this way. I love your built-in shelves in your kitchen area! We painted all our cabinets white as they were a dark wood stain and I felt it darkened the room too much. It made a huge difference and highlights the pieces we put in the open shelving area. I love it.
Your sweater/jeggings are a fun look, too.

    • Beth Djalali says:

i bet you love your white cabinets. it does brighten up a room. even though we have lots and lots of windows the house is still dark what with all of the mature trees that surround the house. white was definitely the way to go. we even painted the fireplace bricks white. love it!

  10. Marsha R says:

Your home is very stylish, just like you. While I think style can be learned, I believe some people have an innate sense of style…and you are clearly the latter!

  11. Bette says:

    Love your laundry room ideas!
    Always love your style.
    Thank you 😊

  12. Nancy says:

Especially loved the tour of your laundry room. I’m jealous that you have a large room to display things. I was happy to see the heart sweater. I wore a sweater today with a big red apple on it that reminded me of your sweater. I also noticed that you are letting your hair grow. I love it.

I like the industrial feel to the laundry room, we are working on ours and i might take some inspiration from yours.
