The Spanx Perfect Pant has become my go-to travel item for 2022. Whether I'm flying or road-tripping, I wear them all the time. Can't recommend them enough.
Here, I'm featuring a mini marina sweater from La Ligne. I'm not wearing the classic Breton colors today---white and navy---although they do stock it. Instead, I went with navy and poppy. Paired with ankle jeans and loafers, this comfy classic sweater is perfect for the weekend.
If you pay close attention to Fridays with Oscar, you will notice I always cook with the Always Pan. As a matter of fact, I have recommended this a-ma-zing pan to friends, family, and readers alike. Every person in my family is hooked on the Always Pan; even my daughter-in-law Kelly, a fantastic cook who knows a thing or two about the best cookware. It's no wonder since this pan replaces eight pieces of cookware.

Hi Beth, first of all I would like to comment on your Q&A on Utube. You looked gorgeous, and I loved your candor. I would like to comment on the Vivia shoes. At first I was thrilled that they were sustainably made with recycled plastic. Then when I traced it’s delivery I found they were being sent from China. I don’t think it’s very sustainable to send one pair of shoes. I was also charged an additional international fee on my debit card. The shoes themselves are cute, but have zero support – completely flat inside. I did order their inner sole, so glad that I did that. I bought the square toe style, which I think will be comfortable for anyone with bunions, etc. I bought these to wear strictly inside the house. I just thought I would comment on the shoes in case anyone is very serious about the sustainability issue. Also, on another product – I have been using Paula’s Choice products for some time and have been very pleased with all of them except perhaps their eye cream.
Hi Lyn,
Thanks for adding your two cents! In answer to the sustainability of Vivaia shoes that has to do with how the shoes are constructed from recycled plastic bottles and spun into their signature thread then knit into durable uppers that stretch four ways. As far as shipping, well, that’s a different story each of us is challenged with the advent and convenience of home delivery. But I will mention the shoes are shipped directly from the manufacturer so it does skip the middleman and one less step in the shipping chain. I have the square toe flats and wear them regularly along with embroidered loafers and knit boots. Love them all and recommend all after wearing them on several occasions.
I’ve never tried Paula’s Choice eye cream but I have used and recommend BHA Liquid Exfoliant which can replace retinol and has a cult following.
Happy Holidays!
Thank you for this post!
I’ll use it for future reference for gift ideas!
