if you paid attention to the sunday brief, you read all about my five favorite spring jackets, including the mighty spring utility jacket. this timeless classic came in handy this weekend as the weather decided to deliver a dreary, chilly day. i don’t know about you, but i love a blue and green color combination. throw in brown accessories for good measure, and i’m good to go. there’s nothing fancy about today’s ootd, but it works.
isn’t that what we want from an outfit? especially when you’re on the move all day long? so let’s break this ootd down. first, my trusty boyfriend jeans are in action. don’t you love to slip into a pair of jeans that skim your curves rather than hug? i know i do. second, a gingham button-up (old, similar here) matches beautifully with denim. third, a classic braid belt adds texture to this ootd with a little oomph. fourth, the green utility jacket gives a little edge to this plain jane outfit as do the modern suede block heels. since i was running errands, a tote came in handy but notice the basket weave pattern that sets this handbag apart.
denim | similar shirt | jacket | shoes | similar tote | necklace | gold bangle | charm bracelet
a few bangles, some lipstick (carnation rosy pink), and this girl is out the door. happy monday, ladies!
