hands down, the best thing about summer is the mesmerizing landscape that swings into action. there’s something so serene about nature in full bloom. bursts of color set against muted greens just soothe and inspire your soul. what could be more delightful than a stroll along a garden path? iris, peonies, honeysuckle, and phlox beckon you to reach out and inhale their heady fragrance. and what about the mighty rose? one whiff from a fragrant bloom is a gift sent directly from heaven. which is why we can never forget to stop and smell the roses. so why not let nature lead the way as my style inspiration? pink and green have always been a favorite color combination of mine. and when it’s paired with linen? um hmmm, i’m living the casual chic dream. although linen can end up looking a bit rumpled (the one feature i personally love) it is the perfect summer fabric as it keeps me cool. and that’s just what i want to be on a hot summer day. since my ootd is very subdued i added a pair of sandals with personality – they’re pink! a canvas tote with hints of gold and a stack of gold arm candy bring this outfit home. now i’m going to take my own advice and smell those roses! but don’t forget how i styled these linen pants yesterday. here’s a peek in case you forgot. don’t you just love how different these pants look with just a few accessory tweaks?

I’m sure if I wore that I would look like a sack. And not a pretty one. It looks wonderful on you though. Very breezy.
