One Pan Miso Pork

Hello, welcome to Kelly’s Kitchen! Today I have an easy one pan meal that is really customizable because you can substitute the meat and the veggies for whatever you like. Flavored with white miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, and fresh ginger, this dish is super-savory and flavorful. You can even turn it into a rice bowl by adding a handful of fresh mixed greens to each serving, like I did. Let’s get right to it!

One Pan Miso Pork

This recipe is really simple. The miso sauce we mix up has only four ingredients: miso paste, mirin, soy sauce, and fresh ginger. Begin by preheating the oven to 400 degrees F. Sprinkle kosher salt on both sides of the pork and set aside.

For the miso paste, combine White Miso Paste, Mirin, soy sauce and fresh grated ginger. Whisk the ingredients together in a large measuring cup for easy pouring, and set aside.

In an oven-safe skillet, over medium-high heat, pour in 1-2 tablespoons of grapeseed or vegetable oil. When the oil gets shimmery, add the pork to the skillet. Let the pork get golden on the first side, about 3 minutes then flip. And let them cook for 3-4 minutes on the second side. Then cut the heat.

Pour about half of the miso mixture over the pork. Gently toss or stir to coat. Place the skillet in the oven and let the pork bake for 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, pull the skillet out and scoot the pork to one side of the skillet. Pour the remaining miso sauce over the pork and add the broccolini to the empty part of the skillet. Place the skillet back in the oven and continue baking for another 10 minutes.

Then, transfer the broccolini to a separate plate and we will cook the sauce down a little more to thicken it up and make it more of a glaze. Over medium-high heat just let the sauce cook down until it is thickened and reduced by about half, maybe 3-4 minutes. Then cut the heat.ย

Serve the pork and broccolini over rice, add greens if you like. Top with sliced scallions, chopped cilantro and furikaki seasoning.

As I mentioned at the top, this One Pan Miso Pork is packed with umami! It’s so simple and completely customizable. Swap in chicken, or any other vegetable you like for the broccolini. I do hope you give this one a try! Take care and be well, xo Kelly
