Hola, Chicas! Can you believe May is only days away?! Yep, time is flying fast. Before you know it, summer will be knocking on our door. But before that happens I’m going to savor every minute of spring. I just love to grab a cup of coffee and head outside to my patio to soak in the morning sun and watch the birds flit to and fro. It’s the perfect way to ease into my day.
Today is all about Cinco de Mayo that’s headed our way. I’m always up for a good taco or margarita. Okay, make that a pineapple tequila sour, but it’s just as delicious as a margarita. Trust me! And the cheesy shrimp tacos are delicious. The two go together like tea and crumpets (and you thought I would say peanut butter and jelly!).

Colette Denim Shorts
Per usual for a Friday I’ve slipped into a cute and comfy outfit that’s perfect for those warmer temps we have from time to time in Georgia. One never knows what Mother Nature will deliver. We’ve flirted with 80-degree temps, then fallen back to the 60s. Today was a warmer day, so I trotted out a pair of Colette denim shorts available in four colors from Anthropologie.

If you haven’t tried a pair of Colette pants then I highly recommend you change your ways. Kelly is also a big fan of Colette! These pants and/or shorts come in a variety of colors, patterns, and silhouettes and are hands down one of the most comfortable pants I own. The denim shorts are meant to hit below your knee, but I decided I wanted a shorter length, so I sent them to my tailor. Pair them with a feminine and flirty floral blouse from Anthropologie for an easy, breezy outfit. And I can’t tell you how many compliments I received on the grasscloth sandals from J. McLaughlin. I think it’s the square heel! But, again, comfort is key and these sandals deliver just that.
The Colette Cropped Wide-Leg Jean
I too went for Colette today with The Colette Cropped Wide-Leg Jean. so comfortable and on-trend! J.Crew always has a great selection of linen, so I went for the Maxine Button-Back Top, which I absolutely love. I think I might go back to get more colors, it’s just the perfect top for summer.

Pineapple Tequila Sour
An easy choice for Cinco de Mayo would be a margarita, which is perfect, but we decided to try something new with a Pineapple Tequila Sour. Fruity and not too sweet, this cocktail is a great alternative if you’re looking for something a little different this Cinco de Mayo.
Cheesy Shrimp Tacos
These cheesy shrimp tacos were a revelation! So simple to make and so delicious! A great way to lighten up the typical taco. You can swap in your favorite cheese and make them your own.
