oscar goes to the vet then heads to the frozen yogurt shop.
oscar was due for a visit to the vet. time for his kennel cough. plus, we needed to stock up on heartworm, and flea and tick meds. an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of trouble. it’s no trouble at all to make this trip as we dearly love our vet! it was also time for oscar to have his nails clipped, so we added on a wash and dry. i guess you’d say he had ‘the works.’

don’t you think it’s a good idea to reinforce good behavior with a toy? especially since all of the staff members gave oscar an above average report card. lately, oscar enjoys squeaky toys. for whatever reason, this chicken seemed to stand out above the rest. guess what came home with us besides his meds?
it’s always great fun to see the groomers scarf du jour. today’s pick compliments oscar’s coloring. i’d say he looks quite spiffy. maybe jaunty is a better description. or maybe he’s just plain relieved he gets to go home after hours of primping and preening.
many readers write-in asking what i look like on a casual day. well, it doesn’t get much more laid-back than this paige tee from the nordstrom anniversary sale. a favorite pair of blue jeans is in action. in keeping with the casual vibe i hauled out my frye hobo bag also on sale at nordstrom. then added a gold cuff for good measure.
hmmm… looks like someone is ready to go home.
but before we do it’s time to beat the heat with a scoop of frozen yogurt.
all-in-all i’d say oscar had a darn good day! can you tell he licked his cup clean? i can assure you that he was a very good boy and didn’t leave even a smidge of yogurt behind.
can you believe this is the last weekend in july?! where is this summer disappearing to? oscar and i will see you next month. in the meantime, we wish each of you a lovely weekend.

I also took my girl to the vet this week for her kennel cough vaccine (nose drops, no needle). I did not care one iota what I looked like, as “wreck” is what I end up like at the end of this birthday month visit. She fights any trip in the car, complete with howling, crying and dog screaming. Did I mention that I have scratches?
She’s small and fury — I mean furry. Nothing is easy with our girl. Oscar, you are a gentleman.

Oscar had a fun outing–spa-style. Have a great weekend–looks like you’re off to a relaxing start. Friday came fast this week, (trust me, I’m fine with that!) and I can’t even believe we’re almost into August here. Does not seem possible, how fast this summer has flown by.
