TGIF, Ladies! It’s been quite a week – my basement renovation was finished last week, so this week I have been getting it in tip-top shape since it’s our new Style at a Certain Age studio and office space. Beth’s Casual Holiday Outfit

Fridays are all about casual weekend style and corduroys are so perfect for winter and the holiday season – they have the ease, comfort, and style of denim but are elevated with added warmth, texture, and festive color. They’re so easy to style with a variety of tops, including button-ups and sweaters. 

These Mid-Rise Kick Flare Cords are from Vineyard Vines, and I love the pink color. While it’s always festive to wear something that incorporates the classic holiday colors, I think that if it puts a smile on your face, it’s festive and perfect for the holidays.

Kelly’s Casual Holiday Outfit

As Beth said, you can’t beat corduroy in the winter, and it is such a great alternative to denim. With rich hues to choose from and styles that are comfortable and always in fashion, corduroy is one of my favorite winter fabrics. So today I am mixing things up with a Corduroy Mini Skirt from Madewell. This skirt is not sold in petites, so its length is a little longer than a mini – which is A-OK with me. I am wearing a regular size 0 and the fit is true to size. 

Deep reds and browns are popular this season and are a perfect match! Recently, I sprung for my third pair of the Laguna Chelsea Boots from Sam Edelman because they are just so comfortable and practical for winter. The boots fit true to size, but if you want to wear thick socks, go for one size up.
