Happy Friday, ladies! We are barreling at breakneck speed to the 4th of July! And while my foot is firmly in June (one of my favorite months), I have one eye on the upcoming holiday! But first, a cute and comfy ootd. Fridays are always about casual ease, but I still want to look put together. I kicked it off with a pair of linen blend red shorts that have been on style repeat this summer. I’ve worn it with an embroidered peasant top, French blue linen button-up, and today, I slipped an oversized red button-up over a white ribbed tank. I love this simple style uniform that adds the button-up as a third layer.

Cargo Jeans
This is likely the last time I will wear long jeans until October! The weather is more summer-like each day here in Athens, so it will be goodbye blue jeans and hello linen shorts and dresses! But before I fold up my blue jeans for the season, I want to share these Straight Leg Cargo Jeans from J.Crew Factory. I’ve never been a cargo jean gal, but this year, cargo jeans are updated with a more streamlined look and interesting seam details.

I paired my cargo jeans with a simple Vintage Rib Shelf-Bra Tank Top from J.Crew. This is a great tank top because of the built-in shelf bra. It’s so comfortable and essential to my summer wardrobe, I purchased a few in different colors and stripes. These rib tanks are perfect for layering under short, or long-sleeve tops all summer long. Sparkling Tarragon Gin Lemonade
This Sparkling Tarragon Gin Lemonade is a great summer cocktail – light and refreshing. The fresh tarragon gives it a light herbal note that goes beautifully with the fresh lemon flavor. Dial down the alcohol content by adding more club soda and fresh lemon juice.
Banh Mi Skewers
This fun take on the classic Vietnamese Banh Mi sandwich takes the components of the sandwich and puts them on a skewer for an easy way to serve a group the flavors of a banh mi sandwich. If you’ve never had one before, I urge you to try this recipe! Super-flavorful meatballs are browned and skewered with lightly pickled carrots, cucumbers, and radishes. And we have a savory Sriracha mayo dipping sauce.
