stuffed sausage mushrooms

Happy Friday, gang! Another week has come and gone. It’s time to usher in another weekend. This week found my cable disconnected and my garage door broken. At least my car is now parked in the driveway. The garage door company is scheduled for Tuesday, and I can’t wait to hear how long it will take for a new door to be installed… The woes of 2021 when demand is high and the supply chain tight. And the cable snafu? Well, that’s thanks to yours truly, who thought AT&T was scheduled for this Wednesday, not next. The electricians were on deck this week for the basement renovation and advised to clean up all the old phone lines and unnecessary cable. Their job performance is a 10 as they followed directions to the T. Ha! Can Wednesday arrive a little faster? Now I’m tethered to my phone, and my computers are tethered to its hotspot. Yep, the 21st century offers all sorts of interesting scenarios.

At least my oven and cocktail shaker are in working order, so onto Fridays with Oscar! This week we’re dishing up a yummy appetizer perfect for fall weather, and we’re getting a jumpstart on the holidays with a Thanksgiving Margarita. Oscar kinda likes the renovation process as there are all sorts of new people showing up at his house that he now considers friends. Yesterday found him standing outside the basement doors enticing his buddies with a squeaky toy. Not sure how successful he was, but I decided to take away said toy as there was one squeak too many, in my humble opinion.

Fridays are always about casual chic ‘cuz we’re ready to kick up our feet and relax. This striped mariner sweater that comes in regular and petite from Banana Republic is back in action this week. Last time it made an appearance on the blog, it was paired with sand color utility pants. This time I decided to go with Italian wool trousers. It’s a match made in heaven thanks to the classic color combo of black and white. Pointy-toed flats (old, similar here) are perfect for a casual ootd yet add a hint of sophistication.

Hello- can you possibly give the amount of sausage needed for the stuffed mushroom recipe. I did not see it listed, thank you!

What a week you’ve had! The margarita and stuffed mushrooms are a well deserved treat for powering thru it all! How much sausage would you need for the recipe? I love the classic black and white look. It seems to never fail us. Have a great weekend and hoping next week all goes smoothly.

Hi Beth, As usual your outfit is on spot, this one for casual. It looks so cozy!
Can you tell me, am I overlooking the kind of sausage and how much in your stuffed mushroom recipe?

    Hi! Beth,
You look just great in you black & white outfit. I love it.
Unfortunately, lately I’ve been having problems getting the images when I click. I am told that the link is ยจmalformedยจand to communicate with the originating sender. Are there other readers having the same problem?

    1. I haven’t heard of any issues. This happens when you specifically click on a photo?

      1. Hi Beth – I have been getting the same message for quite a while, regardless of what I click.

That being said, sending hugs. What a week you have had, but at least you are dealing with it with grace and humour. Getting upset wonโ€™t make it go away any quicker and for those of us with any kind of arthritis, the stress will bite back. The garage door may well take a while, but at least you donโ€™t live in โ€˜Winterpegโ€™ hahaha. You wonโ€™t have to dig the car out in the mornings or scrape ice.

Love the wide sleeve take on the iconic French sweater. Take care Beth – keep on laughing- ๐ŸŒท

        1. I always advise readers to clear their browsing history then try again. The site was just tested and all links are performing.
          Thanks for the heads up.

          1. Lauren

The links for the pants do not work….tried all of the ones you have in this post. As for growing History…..I NEVER keep any….mine is always cleared after every web page I open so something els is clearly wrong since I am not the only one who is having trouble

          2. It’s a mystery. I’ve had several people from my team check the links and the report came back A-Okay. We’ll dig a little deeper.

It is actually nice for you to share cable, door issues, letting us all know you have same challenges as all of us, and can write about it to share positivity! You ALWAYS look so polishedโ€ฆ.And I donโ€™t cook much..(donโ€™t care how much sausage to use!๐Ÿ˜Š) but am definitely going to try the fall margarita! Thanksโ€ฆ
    Linda

  9. Francine Brault

Yes when I click on a photo

    1. DeAnna

Hi there, may I ask which photo are you clicking?

      1. Francine Brault

I’m clicking on the photos that Beth includes so we can find where to buy certains articles but it seems I can’t open it.
I’ve been having these problems only recently but never before. And my history browser is usely cleared.
Thank you for the attention because I love Beth very much like a friend and her very good taste in clothing that I sometimes would like to buy.
