it’s here, it’s finally here! can you believe tomorrow is thanksgiving? who else needs to make another grocery store run? when my to-do list is a mile long it’s time to pull on my ‘comfy cozies’ as my dad used to say. since i’m a prepster from way back when i typically reach for a sweater, button up, and blue jeans. and nobody does modern classics better than ralph lauren. okay, j.crew comes in a close second. both retailers have fantastic sales going on even as i type.
an iconic sweater that ralph lauren trots out year after year is a polo bear sweater. this year’s rendition is a tuxedo bear but you can also find a u.s.a. bear. check out the men’s or boy’s department to see what they might have on hand. children’s clothing is half the price of adults so if you can squeeze into a boy’s size – go for it. especially since ralph does a bang-up job for kids. macy’s carries a great selection of ralph lauren as does bloomingdales and both retailers have excellent sales. in fact, bloomingdales gave ralph lauren his big break. after pestering the retailer for months with his tie selections bloomies finally said yes, and a legend was born. perseverance pays off doesn’t it?

okay gang! it’s time to gear up and head on out for that last round of errands. anyone else ready for turkey besides me? or maybe pecan pie?
