hello fall, it’s been awhile. but i’m happy to see you again even if it’s hard to believe you’re here. yet, the calendar officially states that autumn has arrived. and we all know the holidays aren’t far behind (37 days to halloween, 59 days to thanksgiving, and christmas is a mere 92 days away). just last night i noticed the skies were dark by eight o’clock. which means we button up the house an hour earlier and slow down our pace. this is the time of year we binge watch television shows. ozark is our latest obsession. boy is it dark. but for lighter fare, college football can blare all day long on saturday if you’re so inclined. or give me a home design or cooking show any day of the week. mr. style prefers shark tank which i have to admit is entertaining.
fall is also that time of year when we transition from flip-flops and shorts to booties and jeans. leopard print has flooded the retail market this year. if you’re so inclined you can wear leopard print dresses, pants, shoes, belts, blouses, sweaters, and even sweatshirts. as you can see from today’s ootd, i succumbed to leopard print mania and added a merino crewneck sweatshirt to my animal print collection. it’s a slim fit so size up if you want looser or longer. i wear a size 8 or medium, and i chose to stay with my regular size but there isn’t much wiggle room. the fabric is soft, retains its shape, and will look fantastic with skirts, black jeans, slim fitting ankle pants, and tennies.
today, i kept the outfit sleek and simple with white denim and neutral booties.

I own the sweatshirt (and wore it yesterday). Good advice on the sizing. I took the advice of many on the website and sized up to a medium. I mostly wear a small but occasionally wear a medium. The medium was too big. I returned to the store, and luckily it had come back in stock. I was able to get my mostly regular size small.
isn’t this sweatshirt comfy cozy. it almost feels like a sweater but with the comfort of a sweatshirt. now that’s a win/win. xo
I’m definitely ready for fall. Of course I’ll be sad to lose the longer days and sunlit evenings, but I’m ready to get over the hot, humid days. Your neutral palette is great with the jewelry here, too. Cute booties! Is that your scooter?
this is the newest addition to campus, sue. all you have to do is download an app swipe and the scooter is yours to toodle around town. the only problem is that the students can leave them just about anywhere they want. i imagine there will be designated spots at some point as the shopkeepers don’t seem to like the scooters as much as the kiddos. xo
