the sunday brief | nordstrom anniversary sale
the first day of july has arrived. and with it comes hot and hotter temps. but if you shop at Nordstrom you’ll be dreaming of cooler weather and fall fashion: suede boots, leather moto jackets, and dare i say it, winter coats. yes, the infamous Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and July go hand in hand.
so what’s the big deal about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? let’s face it, retailers offer sales every week. but no retailer other than Nordstrom offers fall items on sale well before the season begins. some of my favorite designers are on sale during this timeframe – Vince, Michael Kors, Louis et Cie, Eileen Fisher, Madewell, Ugg, and J.Crew to name a few. it’s christmas in july y’all!
july 12 – 19th are the key dates to remember as Nordstrom cardmembers can shop the sale early before it opens to the public. this is an important shopping window as many items sell out. sometimes, once an item is gone – it’s gone. this has happened to me more times than i’d like to count. don’t forget that Nordstrom has more than just women’s fashion. they have a fabulous home department. two years ago i purchased this bar cart and matching accent table for my porch. our bedroom rug came from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale too.
