“rainy days and mondays always get me down,” sang the carpenters way back when. but i kind of like a thunderstorm booming and rolling its way across town. of course, an umbrella is on standby if you venture out of the house which we did since one of my kiddos is home. and this particular umbrella is mr. style’s new gadget. it’s an inverted umbrella. with traditional umbrellas, water drips on ourselves, inside the car or on floors. but this umbrella has a unique reversed design that keeps you dry. it’s the reversed closing mechanism that prevents water from dripping when closed. leave it to mr. style to brighten a dreary day.
as for me, i decided to trot out a new leopard print silk blouse. brown and black are a favorite color combo of mine come fall. since leopard print has both colors built in this print gives an equal opportunity to play around with both colors with a little camel thrown in for good measure. black pants seemed like a no-brainer paired with this silk blouse. a blush moto jacket softens the look, but a brown belt with a jazzy belt buckle add substance. pale pink handbag and cap-toed slingbacks reinforce the blush jacket. and add spit and polish to the outfit.
“raindrops keep falling on my head.”
