luxury handbags are expensive. that’s a fact. so i’m certain that if given the chance shoppers would prefer to spend less than the retail value. am i right? and did you know those designer handbags are now considered a better investment than real estate? considering the handbag resale market is a cool $12 billion industry i can see why that claim is made. because $12 billion dollars is a chunk of change and then some… since i’m an accessories girl through-and-through (shoes and handbags make or break an outfit) and know first hand that handbags are a great investment – they last for years – i thought we would take a peek at a high-end handbag stock market by the name of StockX. stock market? for handbags? yes, StockX operates a bit differently than high-end online consignment shops. are you ready to learn more? i thought so.
first off, StockX has the largest catalog of luxury handbags – 10,000+ and growing every day. second, every pre-owned bag is in excellent condition is authenticated by experts. which means you will never get a fake. take a look at the above photo. the green tag is ‘verified authentic StockX.com.’
StockX.com sells a variety of luxury handbags like Chanel, Louis Vuitton, Goyard, Hermes, and Gucci. nothing wrong with focusing on the best of the best! and let me tell you it was challenging for me to decide which luxury bag was coming home with me. in the end, Gucci was the designer yours truly chose. it was that iconic bamboo handle synonymous with Gucci since 1947 that sealed the deal for me. did you know that in the aftermath of WWII, the fashion house turned to Japan to source material not subject to restrictions? voila, a classic was born. after all, necessity is the mother of invention.
so how exactly does StockX work? when you find the bag you want that’s listed, place a bid to let a seller know how much you’re willing to pay for it. if something suits your fancy, you can also click “buy now” and the bag is yours. but what i liked best is that you can bid on a handbag that doesn’t have a seller yet and wait for the offer to come to you. this feature is absolutely wonderful for those of us who let the perfect bag slip away a few seasons ago.
dress | shirt | wrap |boots | handbag
StockX also offers anonymity to both buyer and seller. all bags are authenticated and shipped directly from StockX.
what do i love about my new handbag? besides the fact, it has bamboo handles? it’s the perfect mid-sized bag that fits all of my essentials including an oversized wallet. there are two compartments on the inside to house car keys and lipstick. anyone else struggled with car keys disappearing down a black hole? exactly! plus there’s a lovely removable strap so if i prefer to throw this baby over my shoulder, i can. how’s that for choices? and the color? this gray/green shade goes with just about everything.
are you ready to take a look at StockX? use my special code BETH50 to get $50 off your first handbag purchase. register at StockX then follow on Instagram to be the first to know about their deals.
a big thank you to StockX for this sponsored post. and thank you lovely readers for supporting the brands that allow me to bring fresh ideas.

I have purchased a few nice bags through ebay, but this is excellent as you are assured of authenticity. I love the Gucci bag you chose. Looks like it would span seasons, too. Your outfit with the bag looks lovely. I admired, but did not end up purchasing, those boots from Talbots when they came out, because I do have several pairs of boots, so I told myself no! But they look great on you!
these boots are fabulous riding boots but once you’ve added a pair into your closet there’s no need to buy another pair. unless it’s a different color….

I’m totally distracted by your cape, Beth! Some of the reviews mention fuzz transfer from cape to clothing, though. Since you’re wearing a dark outfit underneath, would you comment on whether or not this is an issue for you, please. (If it is, do you think washing it before wearing it would eliminate the fuzz problem?) Thanks.
the cape does have a bit of fuzz. to diffuse the situation i used a lint roller and it seemed to do the trick. since this cape just arrived on the scene i don’t know how it will hold up in the washing machine. but the price was so darn good i couldn’t resist and think i’ll just keep on using my lint roller.

I had not heard of this site Beth, what a great bag you chose 🙂
