6 Easy Appetizer Recipes Perfect for a Crowd

1. Hot & Cheesy Crab Dip

How are your holiday preparations coming along? Have you finished all your shopping; have your menu planned? Today I have a super simple, but super impressive Hot and Cheesy Crab dip that would be a great addition to your appetizer menu. I am planning to bring this hot appetizer dip to our family get-together and I am sure it will be a hit! Let’s get right to it!

2. Air Fryer Ravioli

On the heels of yesterday’s Ingredient Spotlight on Italian Pasta, today we are trying our hand at Toasted Ravioli. I never knew about Toasted Ravioli until I lived in St. Louis, which is where it originated. Lou Oldani Sr. is credited with inventing the deep-fried ravioli in the 1940’s, at his restaurant Oldani’s in St. Louis’s Italian neighborhood, The Hill.

There is always contention when it comes to recipe origins and Toasted Ravioli is no different. In addition to Oldani’s (now Mama’s on The Hill), Angelo’s (now Charlie Gitto’s) also boasted the invention of Toasted Ravioli. Whoever actually came up with it, I am sure glad they did because Toasted Ravioli is genius. Let’s do this Air Fryer Toasted Ravioli!

3. Baked Feta and Tomatoes & Herbs

Today’s recipe is a great light dinner, but it also makes a fantastic appetizer. It’s an easily customizable recipe, full of fresh, savory Mediterranean flavors. Serve it with slices of toasted rustic bread, like I am today, or mash up the feta a bit, stir it into the baked tomatoes, onions and peppers and mix it into a bowl of pasta. Baked Feta is a versatile dish, with an easy preparation. So let’s do it!

4. Cรณctel de Camarรณnes (Mexican Shrimp Cocktail)

Today we have Cรณctel de Camarรณnes, or Mexican Shrimp Cocktail. Mexican Shrimp Cocktail is a bit more robust than the type we usually see on an appetizer menu. This version has diced jicama, cucumbers, onions and avocado. It’s refreshing and light, with a little bit of spice. Well, let’s get right to it!

5. Caramelized Onion Dip

I hope this week is going well for you. As I mentioned yesterday, we are all about Super Bowl snacks this week, so today I have an easy recipe for Caramelized Onion Dip. This takes time, but it’s passive time; while you let those onions cook down to a sweet, oniony jam. I find homemade Onion Dip to be much sweeter than store-bought, so I am giving it some savory flavor with Worcestershire Sauce and soy sauce. Let’s get to it!

6. Old Bay Hot Shrimp

Today I have an appetizer dip recipe to share with you. Alex and I love dips. No party necessary. We will eat chips and dips for lunch. Or even for dinner. Seriously, you should see my fridge; half of the entire top shelf is devoted to Trader Joe’s dips. That said, homemade dips are usually so much better than store bought and totally customizable. This Old Bay Hot Shrimp Dip is so easy! I have slightly adapted this recipe from a version I saw in a recent Taste of Home magazine.
