Whether you’re going on an actual date night with your spouse, heading out to a Gal-entine’s happy hour with girlfriends, or maybe you just feel like getting dolled up for Valentine’s Day – here are some fresh and romantic beauty ideas anyone can pull offโฆ

6 Valentine’s Day Beauty Tips
1. Body Shimmer
Add a BODY SHIMMER where it counts! Sometimes a little shimmer in just the right spots can easily make a girl feel fabulous! Besides the obvious highlighter along the cheekbones, don’t be afraid to apply the same highlighting idea along the collarbones, tops of shoulders and even along the legs (if it’s warm enough to bare them in February that is!).
I use my Anastasia Beverly Hills Stick Highlighter, $34 (shade “pink diamond” here) to tap onto my cheekbones as well as focus a little along the actual collarbones for a bit of interest! I love that the stick includes a short dense brush on the end to help dab into the skin.
Or… use what you have and take your favorite regular powder highlighter (or a large body brush) and then, after adding lotion to the chest and collarbone area, immediately stipple on your normal highlighter to achieve the same dewy shimmery skin look.

2. Sexy Fragrances
Treat Your Skin To A Sexy Fragrance. I’m not talking about just perfume either. Think a great-smelling body lotion, scrub, or body oil is also very intoxicating. Bonus – smooth soft skin that smells amazing is the most romantic thing you can do for yourself!
Every single time I wear the super unique and popular Sol De Janiero Bum Bum Cream, $48, someone tells me how yummy I smell! Not even exaggerating. It’s the most intoxicating warm scent. I think the best deal to be able to try 3 of their amazing products (bomb bum cream, shower cream gel, and hair + body mist) in this signature scent is their Jet Set for $30.
If you want a body scrub that delivers soft buttery skin, try the Kopari Exfoliating Crush Scrub, $39. My kids ended up demolishing this with me! Everyone in the family loves how the crushed coconut shells + coconut oil and brown sugar leaves your skin unbelievably smooth and the subtle warm fragrance on the skin.

3. Red Lips
Romance is implied without having to say a word when you let your lips do the talking with a bold red lip. Two keys to pulling off a red lip:
- Make sure your lips are exfoliated, flake-free, and hydrated! I will never stop talking about the Buxom Power-Full Lip Scrubs, $19, that make exfoliation and hydration happen in one product and mess-free! You can’t put a bold color on flaky uncomfortable lips – yuck. This is a must-first step for kissable lips!
- Find a red that doesn’t transfer to your wine glassโฆor someone else! I’ve always been a big fan of the true red shade I’m wearing in this post called “Beso” by Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick, $24. Its longevity is realllly good and the formula comes in a ton of shades if red isn’t your jam. And if you are a budget gal and need a good stay-put red, I highly suggest trying the NYX Shine Loud Vegan Long Lasting lipstick, $12, which is half the price. You’ll have to work to get this formula off at the end of the night it’s that good and it comes with a top coat for shine and hydration.
Also, trust me that a red lip plus pink cheeks is a super pretty duoโฆ

4. Pink cheek
Make Them Blush With a Pretty PINK CHEEK. I am late to the game buying this product, but I finally purchased the iconic Rosy Glow blush by Dior, $39, and let me tell you, it is worth every penny! It self-adjusts to give you the perfect pink shade and I can vouch for it.
This pink blush will bring your complexion to LIFE whether you do a subtle wash of it or you want bright bubblegum pink cheeks! Either way, never forget to give blush a shot at making you look in love with a bashful blush!
And if you just can’t justify the Dior price, but want that perfect pink, I hear this CoverGirl blush in shade “Pink Candy,” $5, is the next best dupe!

5. Colorful Lashes
Bat Those Lashes In COLOR! If you haven’t ever tried a colored mascara, well Valentine’s Day might be just the right time to try! Most colored mascaras are very subtle. So if you aren’t a fan of a dramatic black mascara and are too timid to try colored eye shadow/or eye liner, this might be a fun and super easy way for you experiment with color on the eyes.
I love that one of my favorite mascara formulas, the L’Oreal Voluminous, $10, comes in multiple beautiful colors like violet, burgundy, and even emerald green! It’s a no-fail way to add color to your eyes and lashes that only those that get really close, will be mesmerized by!

6. Heart on Your Nails
Wear Your HEART ON YOUR NAILS. If you follow me on Instagram or YouTube you know I don’t like wasting time in a nail salon, but I love nail art! So why not buy some cute Valentine’s Day-themed press-on nails like these from Kiss, $9.
They have some of the cutest designs in various lengths to fit anyone. This is a great way to show some fun and flair on your hands without having to wait for paint to day!
