age perfect makeup for mature women
if you follow my YouTube channel then today’s news comes as no surprise. and many of you noticed i was on the television show The View several weeks ago. yes, i am thrilled to announce that i’m partnering with L’Oreal Paris for the next nine months as an ambassador for their new line Age Perfect Makeup designed specifically for mature women and mature skin. but i have a feeling women of all ages will love Age Perfect Makeup. if you’re interested L’Oreal has an Age Perfect skin care line too.
what’s so special about Age Perfect Makeup? it’s formulated with vitamins, minerals, and serums that keep our skin hydrated and luminous. women’s skin tends to get drier as we age and loses its natural vitality. now we can put together a flawless look with moisturizing formulas and lightweight coverage that evens skin tones and doesn’t settle into lines. love, love, love that this makeup line is infused with skincare. the Age Perfect line includes all the necessities for a full face: complexion, lips, eyes, and brows.
Age Perfect Makeup
armed with a bare face i started with the Radiant Serum Foundation with SPF 50. this lightweight foundation glides on seamlessly. it’s loaded with skin-nourishing ingredients like vitamin B3. i used Radiant Serum Foundation in beige rose 30 that feels as if i’m wearing nothing at all. yet the formula looks supple and leaves my skin with a glow. my kind of foundation. and it doesn’t settle into fine lines. less is more as we just want to even out skin tone so blend, blend, blend.
next, i applied the Radiant Concealer with Hydrating Serum under my eyes and pinpointed any pigmentation or blemishes that needed extra coverage. choose a concealer shade that matches your complexion. i used nude beige 210.
Smoky Eyes
this is the template i used as a guide for The View. the eyes were a soft almond shape smoky eye perfect for an evening out. it’s a soft but glam look that’s easy to put together. i’m not a makeup artist but i achieved the look.
for the eyes, L’Oreal La Palette Nude was used to create a soft smoky eye. the pearl shade was used under the brow bone and inner corner of the eyes. the soft taupe shade was used on the upper lid. and the darker brown as the defining shade in the outer corner of the eye. make sure all edges are blended to create a soft but glam look.
using the brow brush on The Age Perfect L’Oreal Brow Magnifying Pencil with Vitamin E i gently brush my brow hairs upward. then i use the tip of the pencil to fill in the brow with feather-like strokes. make sure the brows don’t look heavy so use the brow brush to blend. i like my brows to look full but natural. i use my natural brow shape as a guide. i’m using L’Oreal Brow Magnifying Pencil with Vitamin E in soft brown.
to add definition to the eyes use the black shade of L’Oreal Age Perfect Satin Glide Eyeliner with Mineral Pigments. push the eyeliner into the upper lash line to fill in the root of the lashes. the formula is waterproof so it stays put. no smudges. next comes lashes with Age Perfect Lash Magnifying Mascara with Conditioning Serum. first, i curl my lashes with an eyelash curler. then i apply a generous coat of mascara starting at the root. apply two coats or until you get the desired effect of full alluring lashes.
now it’s on to blush. using the shade 415 Peony L’Oreal Age Perfect Radian Satin Blush. the creamy formula is made with camellia oil for a luminous glow. use a blusher brush to apply the blush to the apple of the cheeks, blending up.
the lips are lined with an Anti-Feathering Lip Liner in 20 Flamingo Carmin following my natural lip line. then i apply Age Perfect Luminous Hydrating Lipstick in the matching shade 110 Flamingo Carmin. hydrating lipstick is a non-negotiable for me so i was pleased with how supple my lips felt.

The lip colour is fantastic on you. Bright but not dark and makes those baby blues really sparkle.
Would be really a nice addition to these makeup posts, if you would comment on how they worked for you. Longevity/feathering, flaking, smudging with regards to lips and eyes. Have fun playing with all the goodies.

Your make up looks Great! I usually stick to Estee Lauder or Lancome because I can try on shades at the counter. Is there any store that sells L’Oreal where you can do that? I would certainly save some money
since it’s a drugstore brand there aren’t any testers like a department store. but even department stores have changed their practices since Covid.

Congratulations on your ambassadorship with L’Oreal. I Am glad to learn about their makeup line for those of us in our 6th decade. As I was getting ready for socially distant cocktails last night I felt like my makeup wasn’t looking right with my newly natural silver hair ( as opposed to the dark blond I have been for years). Looking forward to trying something new-especially the foundation and concealer.
i have been very pleased with the light coverage foundation. i’ve never liked a full coverage foundation as it just feels too heavy to me. so give Age Perfect a try and let me know what you think.

i have loved this brand since a teenager so to say i’m thrilled is putting it mildly.
Lovely look. May I ask what you would also use for rosacea which is very red cheeks in my case…….. I have used Estee Lauder, Elizabeth Arden, clinique and Clarins and still have the same issue.
i’m certain only a dermatologist can accurately answer your question. but Age Perfect foundation is light coverage. have you tried itCosmetics CC cream? it’s full coverage and looks very natural.
I will definitely try L’Oreal foundation. After years of buying higher end cosmetics, and not being completely satisfied, I made a change to more reasonably priced foundation. I use a light touch when applying makeup. I always remember going to a party years ago and the mother of the hostess was there. Her hair was dyed jet black, and her makeup was so heavy and severe she looked like a clown. I’m sure she felt she looked younger and chic but it was just the opposite. It made such a poor impression I remember it vividly and it was over 30 years ago.
but there have been sooooo many advances with skincare and makeup in the past thirty years.
and our thoughts on gray hair have changed too. thankfully, we have lots and lots of choices
and different price points to help us look our best.
