Well, gang, back in the day, I always looked forward to July and shopping the sales that commenced after the 4th of July. These days, most brands offer sales every other week, so the luster of sale shopping has worn off. Except for two epic sales that occur in July. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale (Kelly, Chelsea, and I shopped ‘til we dropped last Wednesday) and Amazon Prime Day! If you can believe it, Amazon Prime Day has eclipsed Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Since I know y’all love a good sale as much as I do, I thought I would share a few of my picks. The only catch is that you must be an Amazon Prime Member to shop.
Not a member yet? Here are a few amenities that might entice you to sign up. Free two-day shipping year-round (this is important to me as I live in a small town), plus you have access to Prime Video and Prime Music. Sign up here for a 30-day free trial membership (cancel anytime).
In today’s post, Beth & Kelly share their Amazon Prime Day Picks.

For over a decade (or thereabouts), there hasn’t been a week without at least one item arriving on my doorstep with Amazon Prime. Sometimes it’s daily… When Mr. Style and I lived in San Francisco, our groceries were delivered to our front stoop. I shop for Oscar’s weekly treats. His favorites are ham bones and bully sticks, but Milk Bones are good for his teeth. I store his pet food in this SimpleHuman Stainless Steel Storage Container. And I can stock up on Frontline Flea & Tick treatments. And Pet Cameras are popular these days.
Ollie loves her Stainless Steel Water Fountain. A Cat Carrier is a must when taking her to the Vet or Groomer. And I can't live without Lint Rollers or a Car Seat Cover. Oscar and Ollie shed - ALOT.
And I love, love, love ordering beauty products that arrive a mere twenty-four hours later: Elemis Cleansing Balm, L'Oreal Midnight Serum or Laniege Sleeping Mask for Dry Lips.
That’s how Amazon got its start as a bookseller. While I love to walk into my local bookstore and smell the ink, nothing beats Amazon’s vast selection of books and free shipping. My local book club picks one book a month to read, and I always zip over to Amazon to place my order. Last year's favorites: Lessons in Chemistry, The Midnight Library, The Measure, and Pulitzer Prize Winner Demon Copperhead. Here are my 2024 picks to date: Once Upon a Time, The Women and The Five Star Weekend.
I listen to Audio Books so I can multi-task cleaning the house or working in the garden so a pair of Apple Air Pods is a must-have for me. When I travel, a Kindle Paperwhite comes in handy.
The health nut in me stocks up on Orgain Clean Protein Shakes, Purely Elizabeth Sea Salt Granola, and I recently embarked on a closet declutter project. Hence, I ordered Plastic Bins, Pocket Sleeves and Note Cards, and a Double Hanging Rolling Rack. Yep, Amazon Prime comes in handy for this girl.
And if you haven’t heard I have an Amazon Store Front where you can peruse all sorts of goodies from Travel to Home to Beauty Finds.
So, how do you shop Amazon Prime? Amazon makes it easy with categories like Prime Day Deals, Lightning Deals, Buzz Worthy, or Top Brands. Then there are Deals Under $25, Amazon Devices, and, well, you get the picture.
So what am I shopping for on Amazon Prime Day as well as the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale? This girl will definitely need a cocktail by Friday afternoon… Here are a few of my picks:
Apple Watch. I bought mine three years ago and LOVE it. I added a watchband from Lagos that elevates the look.
Countertop Ice Maker that’s perfect for parties. A Waterpik Flosser and a Bose Sound Link.
I’m a big fan of Yeti coolers or drinkware. They have mugs, wine coolers or a regular insulated tumbler. I have them all…
If I had a granddaughter, I would stock up on all things Barbie. Barbie and I are almost the same age. I’m one year older!!!
A Cuisinart Soft Serve Ice Cream Machine is handy during the hot summer months. It’s so easy to use, and homemade ice cream is the best. I also have the Handheld Blender, which is handy.
I’m still on the fence when it comes to Amazon Clothes. Sure, you can’t beat the prices, but I’m all about quality and sustainability. But style has many pricepoints, and many of you ask about budget-friendly clothes. So here are a few things I have my eye on.
Here are a few of my favorites that have served me well! I know you will love them too!
All right, ladies! That’s it for Day 1 of Amazon Prime Day. Stay tuned to tomorrow’s post when I share a few of my beauty favorites and how I style my pixie cut! Don’t forget to stop by my Amazon Storefront.
I typically look for big ticket items during Amazon Prime Days. It’s a great opportunity to save on these more expensive purchases. It’s also a perfect time to knock out some holiday shopping for family and friends.
One item I am really jazzed about is the De’Longhi Magnifica Evo Automatic Espresso Machine with Built-in Milk Frother and Bean Grinder. This is an automatic espresso machine that doesn’t require any pods – it has a bean grinder so you can use your favorite coffee beans.
A smaller ticket item that I am always glad to save money on are the Yeti Rambler Colster 12 oz. Can Insulators. I have a few of these already, but it’s great to add to my collection so that when I have several people over for a summer barbecue, everyone can keep their canned drink nice and cold.
Prime Days is also featuring up to 50% off on Amazon Devices. A few great devices included are the Ring Doorbell and the Amazon Fire TV Stick. Another great buy are the Blink Outdoor Wireless Security Cameras. I love the sense of security I have with my outdoor wireless cameras and this is a great opportunity to save on a one, two, or three camera system.
