the toughest aspect of covering the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is that so many items sell out quickly. it happens every year, and it’s disappointing. while clothes can be a challenge to shop for during this epic sale, beauty products and lingerie tend to be safe bets. and i love to stock up on my beauty favorites during this epic sale.

Supergoop Sunscreen is fast becoming a favorite of mine, especially when i head to the beach. my next trip to Tybee is in early August. can’t wait! Paula’s Choice is a brand i can count on, and i’m curious to try her skin-perfecting exfoliant. i try to use an exfoliant once or twice a week to slough away dead skin cells. Kiehl’s Deep Pore Cleansing Mask helps eliminate surface toxins from the skin. masks are always in my toiletry bag when i travel. they’re a quick and easy way to revive tired skin.

several months ago, i had the privilege to work with Esteé Lauder and test out the new and improved Advanced Night Repair. i’m a big fan as it helps fight against the environmental assaults our skin is faced with every day. try the Complex Serum Set with 3 travel-sized bottles. or the Advanced Night Repair Set that includes the serum and eye serum. silk pillowcases are not only luxurious, but they help decrease signs of aging. Slip pillowcases are my go-to’s. we spend a third of our lives in bed, so i make certain my bedding is top-notch.

fresh is another beauty brand i can count on. one of my favorite products is their Soy Cleanser. it’s gently on my skin yet removes makeup without drying my skin. but i’m a big fan of their day or night moisturizers too. on my recent shopping spree to Atlanta, i recommended my dil purchase NuFace Facial Toning Device. why? microcurrent technology works! it helps tone our facial muscles helping our skin to stay taut. and there are a variety of gel primers you can use with this device. my aesthetician swears by NuFace, and i religiously use it once or twice a week. another facial device everyone swears by is an LED mask. and the Cadillac is Dr. Dennis Gross with red light and blue light therapy. 

during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, i like to stock up on Revitalash eyelash and eyebrow serum. my disappearing eyelashes have improved considerably since i started using this product. NeuLash is also a good choice when it comes to lengthening lashes and restoring eyebrows. when putting on my makeup, a magnifying mirror is a must-have. recently, i installed a SimpleHuman sensor mirror in my master bathroom, and i LOVE it. but here is the upright version that’s cordless and rechargeable. i might have to purchase this to bring along on my travels.

Two Faced Better than Sex Mascara is a tube i reach for time and again. the same with Nars Orgasm Blush. they are tried and true favorites that i know i can count on. i’ve heard rave reviews about Deborah Lippmann Stripper Duo nail polish remover that hydrates your nails. kelly introduced me to Boy Smells and Le Labo, so i ordered the Discovery Set and the Votive Candle Set. i think both would make terrific gifts. but Nest will always be a favorite brand. and i’ve been meaning to test out new fragrances Chloé and Tom Ford are on my list.
