hump day has arrived and with it gray skies. at least here in georgia. so if you can’t beat, ’em join ’em. at least my ootd will. and i do like this gray herringbone shirt from Chico’s with a portrait collar and built in shirttail. love how effortless this built-in layering truly is. the 3/4 length sleeves add a hint of sophistication but what i love most about this top is the herringbone pattern borrowed straight from the boys. masculine balanced with feminine is always a win.
although i might argue that the star of this outfit is a pair of chic yet comfy pants. the Juliet by Chico’s that’s made from ponte. ponte, ladies, the most forgiving fabric known to mankind. or at least to me… plus, these pants pull on, so there’s nary a bump or lump to be seen – anywhere.
to jazz up the outfit, i added a pair of dangly earrings, pointy-toed pumps and grabbed a clutch. is it five o’clock yet? ‘cuz it looks like cocktails are in order. a cosmopolitan is certain to chase those gray skies away!
